Great way to learn more about your kids
I think this is a great game for parents and kids. The questions are very unique, and require a little bit of thought. But this is a game that allows you to get to know your child better while still having fun. My son and I really enjoy this game. It has given me a better understanding of how he thinks, and how he sees the world. I love playing this game with him.

Gets kids thinking
I didn't play it as the game it is but just randomly asked the kids to answer some questions. It's a good price with lots of varying questions. The cards are coated so they should be durable for a long time. This works good for teen groups to express their thoughts and get them talking.

Quality Card set! GENIUS gift idea for kids and parents alike!
I got this card set for my 8yo boy and 5yo girl, to entertain fun conversations during dinner time. I have to say I'm very pleased with the cards, they are printed on quality paper with a thick grain and definitely feel sturdy to sustain multiple uses with kids. The questions are printed is clear, large and legible fonts, and the graphics are high quality and colorful! The 52 cards each come with a philosopher name and character drawn on the back, and an original question on the front. My kids loved it, we spent a few evenings discussing those together (and still have many questions to go through). The box suggests this is suitable for ages 8+, but I do actually believe smaller kids like my 5yo daughter can totally benefit from these also, especially when they have older siblings.I absolutely recommend this card set for parents looking to expand their dinner conversations to some interesting topics with their kids (not always easy to think of such topics on your own when rushing through daily chores and tight schedules!).A great educational and fun resource for any parent to have!

doesn't make sense
I appreciate the probing questions on the one side of these cards. What I do not understand is how they relate to the characters on the other side of the card.I have scanned the QR code and reviewed the 9 pages of the pdf file and still nothing for me.Do not recommend this item unless you want to end up as confused as me.much love!

Wonderful selection of kid friendly, thoughtful questions
This is a review of an Amazon Vine product. That said, I try to be honest and open in all my reviews.(Please see the enclosed pictures.)This is not really a game per se. You don't keep score, and no one wins or loses. You all get to know each other better. There are pictures of world famous philosophers on one side of the cards, and there are questions on the other side.Just to be clear and avoid the intersectionality rage of some of the other reviews, the pictures have less than nothing to do with the questions or how to ask or interpret the questions. The pictures are there for flavor alone. By the by, the selection of philosophers ranges across the world from Hegel to Lao Tse and includes the famous ones most of us know like Aristotle, Plato, and Socrates. I appreciated that the pictures included pictures of religious figures like Buddha and Christ as well as folks like Thomas Aquinas. The core of the cards, the questions, were thought provoking and kid appropriate. Here are three examples:* Do you think it is ever OK to tell a lie?* How many people do you think you have seen in your life?* Would you rather be known as kind or funny? All in all, this is a great set of cards that will generate a lot of intriguing discussion.I give this set of cards my highest recommendation.

Pascal wrote "one must know oneself." This game helps you know others.
Great game to make you think, excellent game to really get to know others. It's not really a "game" in the sense that there is an objective to win, and more like a deck of questions to think on. The social aspect of it and bonding over thinking and beliefs is a good way to pass the time productively. It's geared towards ages 8 and up, and a good way to get kids thinking, and practicing how to put their thoughts into words and expressing them to others. And still, it is a good game to play with older kids and adults too, really everybody should be doing some pondering every now and then. The card quality is good and should hold up and they feel like they'll hold up to getting dirty/spills if they're cleaned up fairly soon after. The case is sturdy. The art is cute but would like to see a wider range of philosophers and some of the questions seem like soft-balls. Would love to see a version geared to older teenagers and adults.
