It's very lightweight. I think it's better for serving than for cooking.
Reviewing: "Chef Works Unisex Brio Bib Apron"This is the second product I've tried from this company. The other one is a chef's jacket, which I really like. I don't regularly wear aprons, but this looked interesting, so I decided to try it because it's nice to have a good apron when you need one. It's very lightweight, in fact, I was actually surprised at how light weight it is. I think it's lighter weight in person than it looks like in the photos. I've only used aprons that are made of heavier fabric, so this took some getting used to.I ordered the black, and after using it, I think I would have liked the charcoal color as well. It has a single front hip pocket on the right side, and some small pockets along the chest, also on the right side, but I haven't actually found a reason to use the chest pockets yet, since I'm only cooking at home in a small kitchen. It also has an elastic neck band, and this concept is also new to me. I definitely see how that would make wearing this apron less uncomfortable for long stretches, but I usually only have the apron on for short stretches here and there. Since I'm used to a thick apron with a fixed length linen neck strap, the elastic also took a little getting used to. Side note: it took a few times wearing it to get the neck strap adjusted just right (since this is a one-size-fits-most). The jury's still out on how much I like the elastic. I don't love it, but I don't hate it either. This apron has regular waist ties, and if you're thin enough, you can wrap them around the back and back into the front to tie them. But if you're like me, and have some "extra" around the waistline, there's not much strap to tie if you wrap it around to the front. So, I think an extra 6"-8" on the straps would have been ideal.Since it's so light weight, after having used it, I'm thinking this might be more intended for serving rather than cooking because I can't see how this thin material would offer much protection from splashes and spills, and grease spatters. I also think it's designed to look good (and it does look good) which is a plus, but when you're using an apron for cooking, you are not really that concerned with how it looks as much as how it wears, and how it performs and withstands the rigors of cooking. I can also see using this while grilling on the patio, since that's not as rigorous as cooking in the kitchen.I rate every Vine item based on how I would feel if it had been an actual purchase. In the case of this apron, I think I would have returned it and bought something else, but I want to emphasize, that's not because I think it's a bad product. It's not a bad product at all (I think this company produces good quality items). It's just not quite what I was expecting, and since I use aprons more for cooking rather than for hosting/serving, I probably would have exchanged it for something more along those lines. That said, if this is the kind of lightweight apron you are looking for, I think this is a good value. I also think it would be great as a gift for someone who loves to entertain and wants to look the part.

Nice black chef's apron
This is a good apron. The neck strap is a stretchy material, so it is easy to put over your head. The sides are wide, and the tie straps are a good length. It has a metal loop and two pockets, one small at the top and a larger one near the waist.

It's an excellent apron. Someday it will be a TARDIS!
If an item is the correct color of a British Police Box I'm always going to turn it into a TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space)! My son asked why I screwed it up (not having it perpendicular). My daughter said it was whimsical. That's why my daughter gets it. I told her it is the TARDIS spinning out of control when David Tennant Doctor Who regenerated into Matt Smith Doctor Who in "The Eleventh Hour." I don't remember precisely which episodes the TARDIS goes spinning out of control with Peter Capaldi, Jodie Whittaker, and Ncuti Gatwa. But then every opening credit sequence since Eccleston has had the TARDIS spinning out of control, so I don't know where my son's head was at!

Durable Utility Apron
Used this for cooking and this didn't disappoint. The durability and the weight of the fabric is great for the price. The cut is good. It was able to catch the oil stains from cooking sauté meals without getting any oil on my clothes. I loved the adjustable neck strap. My biggest grip with nonadjustable aprons are the low necklines catching food particles, so it was a pleasant surprise that this one was able to cover my entire body up to my clavicle! Also, the keyring and side pocket was nice touch too. Overall, very please with this purchase.

Lightweight and Durable!
As a daily cook, a decent apron is a must. This is substantially lighter weight than the aprons I have used in the past, which are made of duck cloth. Duck cloth makes for a nicer, more stylish look for an apron you might wear when hosting guests, and is wonderfully durable, but also prefers to be ironed after washing. Not ideal for a daily, heavy-use apron. This polyester-blend, however, washes well and, while it does wrinkle slightly, certainly doesn't need ironing. I didn't notice any loose threads or hems after washing, so construction appears to be very solid! This fabric is lighter than I expected (it earns its 'lite' description), but seems to protect just as well as thicker fabrics! Perhaps not great for lots of popping grease during deep frying or barbecuing, but I don't cook with lots of hot grease, so it's not an issue for me. It has plenty of coverage, so I don't worry about what I'm wearing underneath and the waist strap is plenty long. As an average-size, 5'6" woman, I can easily wrap it twice with plenty of room to tie it. However, it is a bit on the long side, so I double-up the waist so it ties across my waist rather than my hips. Even with the hemline lifted ~2", it still hits me at the knees. The elastic neckband is different and very comfortable! I wasn't really sure what to think of it, never having had one like it before, but I like it! It makes it easy to pull on, even if you prefer the apron to cover fairly high on your chest, and is very comfortable across your neck.I just wish it had two pockets. I keep wanting to put my lefthand in the pocket, but it's on the wrong side for that XD

Seems decently constructed, but a little heavy
I'm not really an apron guy, but thought this would be good for when I'm cooking things that tend to splatter and stain, like spaghetti sauce or something. It seems like it's pretty well made. The material is pretty heavy duty, and feels like it will be able to take the abuse. It is very long. I'm 6'3", and this came down to just above my knees. The "gravitationally gifted" out there may find that it's too long for them without cinching the top part up so it touches the front of your neck, which doesn't seem like it would be comfy.
