Perfect First Instrument for Toddlers
Got this Raimy 17in Kids Ukulele for my child and it's been fantastic! It's the perfect size for little hands and really easy for my kid to hold and play. The quality is great for the price - it feels sturdy and has held up well to my child's enthusiastic strumming. The sound is pretty good for a kids' instrument.Highly recommend the Raimy Kids Ukulele if you're looking for a fun, educational musical instrument for your child. It's a 5-star product in our book and a wonderful introduction to music for kids.

Perfect toy for a 2-year-old interested in "guitars"
Picked this up on a whim for a clever 2-year-old -- a teacher at daycare has a ukulele, and they had also seen some online videos of young kids singing and playing ukuleles. The kid's eyes lit up and we now have a ton of adorable photos and videos as they sing and strum. To clarify -- there is no real music coming from this instrument. The 2-year-old is successfully holding this uke, plucking streams, and strumming (and sometimes using the attached pick), but is not attempting to hold strings on frets, not attempting to play chords, and not attempting to play any correct/specific notes. That said, I've played a few simple melodies by holding one string to the frets and didn't have any problems with buzzing.I spent about a minute one day trying to actually tune it to itself, before the 2-year-old demanded it back. I was not successful, but it very well might have just been me. It seems feasibly tunable, although I have a hunch the pegs may not hold their position and would fall a little out of tune in a day or less. For what we needed -- a reasonably safe and sturdy "guitar" for a 2-year-old, this was absolutely perfect. I have been tempted to buy a stack of 10 of them to have on hand as easy gifts for other kids. The photos and videos we now have of the child with this uke are priceless, and favorites of all our family.

My grandson loved it.
Loved the color. Although it’s a toy you can tune it to play simple chords/tunes. The sound was also ok. It couldn’t withstand my grandson’s abuse too long, but it’s good value for the price. The attached pick was a nice touch.

Good for baby
We cut the pick off. 9-11 month old loves this. Jams with daddy, saves his guitar the crawling attention.Worth every penny.Got a crack in top of neck, still sounds okay. Safe for little hand yet. I will buy another if price remains good.

Fun, but will never sound perfect
I play the guitar and my son loves to play with it so I thought I’d get him a ukulele so he had his own instrument. On the first day, I tuned it perfectly with a ukulele tuning app and then played it for 5 mins afterward, however, in that short time, the sound started to change. So, i went back and checked and THE SOUND DID CHANGE. I checked with the tuner again and almost all the notes shifted down a half note or whole note….I think it’s because the knobs at the top don’t hold the strings well, even if you tighten them, or the strings themselves are the problem. So, if you want a fun toy that you kid will only play with, not learn from, then this is it…

Resilient
My toddler (16months) is not gentle, but this ukulele is holding up. Though I don't think it's anywhere near the correct notes, this ukulele is tunable. Now my toddler doesn't try to abuse my guitar because he feels like this is the real thing.
