Sorbothane is far more effective for isolation than other materials such as rubber; it dampens vibration and impact by converting it into a small amount of heat. It has many applications; it is widely used by audiophiles to help isolate turntables (and neighbours!) from subwoofers and speakers or from the unwanted influences of other equipment and traffic rumble, it is used to quieten the vibration from PCs, hard drives, DVD drives and other spinning equipment, for protecting sensitive scientific equipment, it is even used by NASA to isolate vibration and in the recoil pads of guns. The domed shape of these Fonotek hemispheres further helps isolation by minimising the points of contact. They can be used domed side up or down. They possess their own natural tackiness which clings to most surfaces. If you require a more permanent application, correctly sized 3M peel and stick adhesive transfer circles are also included, these are supplied separately so that you can choose to use them, or not. These Fonotek hemispheres are '50 durometer'; this is the measurement of their hardness or of the amount they 'squish' when loaded and it greatly influences the load rating. This is the mid load rating of most sorbothane products and is the preferred option for most audiophiles and domestic users since it provides the best equilibrium for protection against both high and low frequency influences; other durometer ratings are commonly used for specialised applications including high/low frequencies or temperatures. Sorbothane has a high plasticiser content which gives it a natural 'stickiness'; this is harmless to most surfaces, but can stain some others including varnish, paints and wood; they are supplied with a urethane coating which provides some protection but this can wash or wear off so you may wish use the supplied transfer circles or a small piece of cling-film etc. for further protection. Made in the UK.

So impressed
Wasn't expecting anything to happen when I bought these to put under my sub. The results are amazing. Lower bass extension, much higher bass pressure in the room, massive change in the overall soundstage. I can only assume a lot of the energy was being transferred into the hardwood floor before having these. Not sure it will work for everyone but for a sub on a wooden floor the difference is day and night. Make sure you weigh the sub first and buy the right size/quantity.

These do the job !!!!!
Used these on my hifi amplifier. There was a small amount of transformer hum being transmitted through to the hollow cupboard the amp was sat on, which made it more noticeable. With these now fitted the amp is virtually silent. These are a lot more like a firm jelly than a soft rubber and really do absorb the vibrations. Very pleased with the results !.P.S. you don't need to use the double sided tape, they stay in place perfectly well without (as it states in the instructions).

Great upgrade for cheap turntable.
Upgraded an Numark TT turntable with a Shure M44-7 cartridge and Oscars audio cork 3mm mat. Running through a cambridge audio phono pre-amp. Final bit was to replace the dodgy, cheap rubber feet with these guys. What a difference. My Toddler hits the table now with no jump or skip (vinyl not cheap now). Cheap upgrade and worth it.

good isolation, but poor glue
good isolation against vibrations, but glue is difficult to apply had to use number plate tape to secure feet to electronicsgood value but be prepared to find alternative fixing methods, although not using glue could also work if there is little risk of knocking the equipment

works
These have been fitted on my NAS as sat on a wooden shelf so the sound was traveling through all very much lower noise

Perfect speaker isolation
Used 3 of these on each of my Audio Engine A2+ desktop speakers and they are perfect 👌🏼

Great product, shame about the adhesive...
These hemispheres work extremely well at isolating speakers, but are let down by the adhesive tabs which are fragile and difficult to successfully attach. It's as if the adhesive is old.

Stablize your Turntable
These little feet are amazing. I was having an issue with my turntable skipping whenever someone walked around the room. I put 4 of these feet on the bottom of a granite cutting board and no more skipping.
