No need to any oil it’s working so good without. Easy in use, ease of cleaning, size is ok, I like the quality and appearance looks like scratch but it’s a metal so what u r expect from that? If u still thinking to buy so recommend to buy, its coming nice lids

Call it 3. 75 stars
I wish we could give partial star ratings. As it is, I chose to give this item 4 stars, but it is really not quite that good. The handles are not finished, just raw wood. So over time they will look pretty terrible unless treated with beeswax or another finishing compound. That and slightly bent handles arms are my main concerns. This mold is quite heavy and sturdy with enough spaces to create six finished cookies in each batch. The non-stick coating seems adequate for now, but i am brushing the surface with butter, both for flavor and to ensure that the cookies release with ease.I had never seen or heard of Oreshki before viewing the item description. Maybe those with Russian or Soviet holiday traditions will know these cookies well, but for the rest of us it would have been nice for the manufacturer to include both a recipe and instructions for use. I easily found a good YouTube video that walked me through the process, but would be better not to have to go elsewhere to learn how to use the product. The traditional Oreshki recipe calls for a filling of Dulce de Leche, but I intend to try other fillings like Nutella just for some variety. And since they are meant to look like walnuts I will likely add some chopped nuts to one of my fillings as well. As an avid baker I am happy to have a new tool in my cookie arsenal and to be able to add something unique to my selection of holiday gift goodies.

My favorite!!
I used to make these cookies when I was young and wanted to try them again.. I got this for it and it works great.. They do not stick. It's so easy to use, clean and hold.. it is not that heavy.

Hmmm 3 stars or 4?
I am struggling between giving this cookie maker/mold 3 or 4 stars... it's a LOT smaller than I had anticipated, but that's pretty much on me, as I read the size and it didn't click that it was very small. The inside is scratched though, and that pretty much was the deciding factor on the number of stars. They're small scratches and only a few... but new items should not be scratched. This is a heavy gadget so it's not going to bend or anything like that...and it looks like it will heat evenly and retain heat well. However, the handles look really cheap (albeit sturdy) and I'm not sure that the wood on the handles would do well in a hot oven. I'm positive it will work on a gas stove, but I'm not so sure about the results on anything else... I am assuming that if it's warmed up in advance, it would be evenly heated since it's so heavy. If my assumption is incorrect and it does NOT work on electric/induction stovetops, I'll update this review. But for now I'm assuming it would... but I can't state 100% that it does without trying it.So really, it's up to you how you feel about this. I've done some looking around and many of the oreshki makers are made the same way... and many people have gas stoves and I would totally use this on a gas stovetop because that's how many of the people who have written recipes have done it. It's a miss for me, but could well be just what you're looking for...

Delicious and easy to make
You need to find the recipe to make these. There are plenty online. It was easy to make. You mix the ingredients. Mold the halfs, fill them and put the other half. You use this right on top of the stove. It's steel with wooden handles. Well made.I used Nutella, peanut butter, and strawberry jam to mix it up a bit. You could play with different fillings to see what works best for you.
