Helps most for putts between 3 and 10 feet
Do you have a hard time reading the green and miss shorter putts you know you could make? This might be the solution for you. This green reader is about the diameter of a poker chip but is a little bit thicker. It has a magnetic alignment tool attached to the back for an additional aid. This is the most beneficial for medium-length putts where the break is consistent throughout the ball path. Obviously, this can only tell you the break where your ball lies so a long putt with multiple possible hills would not be a good situation to use it. The bubble level is easy to understand and shows you if the break is right-to-left or left-to-right as well as if it is up or down hill. If you are a little far-sighted and typically need reading glasses, you might have a harder time reading the text on this device as the font is pretty small. Otherwise, you’ll find this to be an accurate way to estimate the break angle and even be able to make a few more putts, taking strokes off your game. It even comes in a nice storage tin and would make a great gift for the golfer in your life.

No instructions; will take patience to learn to use
I’m new to the game of golf so I’m trying to find anything to improve my performance. That premise led me to this gadget, the Golf Spirit Level Golf Ball Marker. Putting is not my strength, so I decided to use this to help with reading the green. The device comes with no instructions. So I'm unclear how to use it. The writing on the device is miniscule. I took a picture to help magnify the writing which includes, starting on the top left and moving clockwise: “Up hill breaks right,” “up hill breaks left,” “down hill breaks left” and “down hill breaks right.” First and foremost, this is a ball marker, so instead of a simple coin-like object that is unhelpful, this ball marker has a level in it to read the green better. It’s a nifty idea for helping to predict how your ball will break when you’re putting. It’s a ball marker that has a purpose. The magnetic alignment tool is a cool part of this gadget because it’s built into the product, no worries about losing it, and, if placed well, will presumably give an idea of where to hit the ball to be most likely to make the hole in a stroke if hit properly. I think the most important thing to remember about this gadget is that it’s going to take time to use, and, therefore, is only practical if one is practicing rather than actually playing a round of golf. There is also a question as to whether this marker is legal in the game. It is most likely considered an alignment device and is illegal per USGA Rule 4.3. You could use the time you’ll spend trying to figure out this gadget to putt the ball a few times from different areas of the green to see how it breaks. For me and for my golf interest, it’s not something I have the patience to learn to use, especially without explicit instructions.

Point Estimate for a Green
If you're on an even slope, then this green reader for you. However, most of the courses where I play, there are multiple slopes involved in every putt. I suppose you could try to use this little reader for each of these different points, but I'm not sure it's much better than a good SWAG.While this marker is too large for others to putt over, using it as a ball marker gives you a good excuse to use this device. However, if someone has to actually putt near your ball, you'll have to have a different marker you can put down or do an offset from your original location. In general it's a nice gift, but there are enough things wrong with my golf game, that it's not likely to save me many strokes.

A-ONE Golf Performance Golf Spirit Level Golf Ball Marker
I use to wish that we were just Born with all the knowledge that we needed for what ever we were interested in.! LOL But we all go through different learning endeavors and this is one of those little tools that could be very helpful. It comes in a very sweet metal box which makes it easy to keep up with since It is small. I like the bright colors on the writing but they are small and can be hard to see. It did not come with instructions so you have to do your own research for that.

Works!
I've found that this tool is more useful at home than on the golf course. I use it for leveling various things and it works great. It's small enough to fit anywhere and beats a large level, especially for small projects. However, I've also noticed that it doesn't work as well on the golf course due to the changing ground conditions, unless you're right next to the hole.

No Instructions Provided
No instructions were provided with the product and the writing on the device was very hard to read. For me to read all of it properly required either a magnifying glass or to look at the picture online and blow it up bigger. It is hard for me to read putting greens. This little device could help me read the green and give me which way the green slopes right where the gold ball is. However, if the green slopes differently as the ball approaches the hole, this device will tell me nothing about that.Using this device is better than using my untrained eye, though. The web page did not provide instructions for how to use the mini magnet ball marker tool. I view it as a fairly useless gadget unless I can correlate the amount of slope with which lines I want to follow from the ball marker tool.

Disappointed.
The tool comes in a very nice metal box that makes a good impression as a giftI got this to be able to read the greens better but unfortunately I would need some Assistance just to read the writing on the marker. Even with glasses If the marker is down on the grass in bright sunlight I still would not be able to read the writing on it. The writing is just too small. Also, it came with no instructions so now I will have to a practice putting greento try to figure it out by trial and error

I thought that I would give this a try to improve my putt reading. I like it, it helps and gives me the assurance that I'm reading the green correctly. Shaving strokes off my putting game.
