Good ... but not really an espresso roast ..
To put my comments in context, Cuban coffee is my preferred morning brew ... I make it several ways ... moka pot, french press, pour over ... it's just how I like to start my day ... so with that in mind I was ecstatic to see this Miami Cafe offered ... but there was a hint if disappointment the moment I opened the delightful looking bag ... it wasn't the dark roast I was expecting ... nice smell, but looks to be more of a medium roasted blend ... and the first taste confirmed all that ... nothing about this is dark or bold ... or espresso for that matter ... decent for sure ... but more of a middle of the road kind of roast ... I also must mention that for this price point, I can purchase eight bags of the same weight Cuban and Puerto Rican coffees at my local Florida supermarket for the same cost as one of these ... so ... a disappointment for sure ... I was certain to have found a new premium coffee favorite ... it's not that for me ... I will enjoy it for what it is ... but won't reorder for what it isn't ....

Decent flavor, but pricey for pre-ground
This pre-ground coffee from Miami Cafe is a surprisingly good pre-ground espresso roast, although pricey for what it is. I prefer to use whole beans generally, but this pre-ground coffee actually had a decent amount of flavor and distinction. I do not have an espresso maker, so I brewed this as single cup pour over coffee. I found that it is definitely a true dark roast, but not very bitter compared to other dark roasts that reach near-burnt. This coffee brings a decent amount of pure coffee goodness when brewed. I did not detect any particularly notable flavor notes with this coffee, it was mostly just coffee flavor. So not too bad for a pre-ground bagged coffee. That said, the price is really REALLY high for what it is. You could probably get comparable flavor (and perhaps even better freshness) from the supermarket. For that reason I would not pick this one again - just too pricey for flavor that is decent, but not mind-blowing.

The coffee is a fine product, although the packaging may need some attention.
This review is for the Miami Cafe Premium Espresso Dark Roast Ground Coffee. While I'm not much of a coffee drinker, I do like the occasional espresso or cafe con leche.Again, I'm not a connoisseur, but I really enjoyed the flavor, particularly the chocolatey end of the spectrum. The Cuban cafe con leche culture is strong in south Florida where I used to live, and the blend really lives up to the claims. The brand is Cuban-American owned, so that's a great way to support said culture. I also appreciate the fact that the beans are sustainably sourced. My only constructive comment would be in regard to the packaging. As you can se in the pics, the product packaging leaked into the shipping packaging. The top tear-away seal about the zipper portion of the pouch was still intact, so I have to assume the adhesive gave way at some point after manufacturing. Hopefully it's just a "one off", and not an ongoing issue.

Dark Roast Ground Coffee
The dark roast profile is notable, providing a robust and bold flavor characteristic of espresso. However, I found the flavor profile to be somewhat one-dimensional, lacking the nuanced and complex notes that can elevate a premium espresso.

Rich Aroma and Flavorful
Bag design is really fun, bright, and poppy. Tear strip opened relatively easy, but the bag opening is smaller than other coffee bags. Since it tapers, it is pretty tight to fit the scooper for my coffee maker inside. I do like that the bag has a resealable zipper for freshness. The coffee has a mild, but rich aroma which is much richer and darker once brewed. The flavor is chocolatey with a hint of smokiness and very smooth. I don’t have an espresso maker or pot, so I tried it both as a cup of coffee and a concentrated espresso shot-esque setting on my coffee maker brewed it.Both were very good, with rich flavor.

Good Flavor
First off, I love the packaging of this coffee. It's vibrant, bold and fun. A celebration, much as a good beverage should be. This is fine ground so doesn't work in a french press. It has a good flavor and a nice taste to it.
