SchyllingSkitterBot Clear Crystal
O**.
Very,Very poor product!!!!!!!!
This skitter bot came the day it was supposed to but with a blackish-brown stains all over the top of the skitterbot package that smelled horribly and looked irritating. Also, upon opening the package the skitterBot felt very slippery and oily to the touch and did not work till i had the battery changed to a 150mah battery*(for the battery that came with it wont charge and so i assumed it was totally dead)* and re positioned and soldered the battery wire to the correct position, only after i did those did it work and lasted for 4-5 days before falling on the floor breaking and only one side was working.PROS:1,Very Fast in Moving2,Fast in charging3,Easy adaptable controls4,FunCONS:1,Highly fragile2,Limited Range between remote and skitterbot3,Poor solder Job4,Poor packaging5,Non Durable6,Package is not customer friendly

Meh...take it or leave it.
Like the title says, I could take it or leave it. Probably not worth the money though (~$18 at the time). It's kind of neat but not very easy to control (it remembers the last command button you hit so if you tap up, it goes straigh until you hit another button, if you hit the left/right buttons, it spins around until you hit the next button). The novelty wears off very quickly.I purchased this to try and entertain our cat...he is always chasing bugs and lizzards on our back porch, however, he isnt too amused by this. Possibly because it is a little bit loud for this purpose, about as loud as a small RC car or maybe he just hasn't figured out what to do with it yet.As far as durability, I haven't used it too much but no problems so far. Doesn't work on our low-medium pile carpet.

Desktop Distraction
I bought this little gadget as a desktop distraction, when just need that few minute break to clear my head or relax a minute. It is a great toy but the control system combined with the speed of the little bug make it more fun in large open spaces, like a tile floor, rather than a small space like a desk or table top. But still great fun, especially for my two boxers, they really enjoying chasing the little thing around. Especially cool to run at night with the soft glow of the led lights!

Awful awful toy
this is a cool little toy and that's about it. The quality is SO poor that I would recommend that you never buy this toy or anything else made by this manufacturer. My four year old son is in love with this toy. It's fast, it's fun. It looks cool. It BREAKS. We bought one and it broke after five minutes of use. We returned it and bought the less fun Hexbug inchworm. Then we found another Skitterbot at Radio Shack for a good price, but this time I decided to buy the insurance that will replace the toy for up to a year. Well, it lasted about 12 hours. The remote plugs into a USB and it's stopped charging overnight. No more Skitterbot. I would say that I'm glad we bought the insurance except that there's a good chance we won't be able to replace it because there weren't a lot in stock so we can just use our receipt to return it. The saddest part, my son on truly heartbroken. And even sadder, he loves this toy so we'll keep trying to find one that might work past one day.

It worked for 2 minutes
I bought the Skitterbot from Woot! (an Amazon company) and was rather disappointed. For the two minutes that it works, it was cool and had my cat very intrigued. That was until the left legs stopped working and the thing would just spin in a circle.

Broke after 2 minutes of use
Purchased as a toy to entertain our cats. It was great fun for about 2 minutes, then immediately broke (the legs on one side no longer would move, though the motor was still whirring.) Company was unable to replace and just refunded me. At least they responded right away and refunded very quickly... Probably these things break all the time so they are used to it!
