I've replaced my door bell with these chimes and they really work. My friends think they are quirky, but they startle strangers - intruders. I think they are lovely.

Got this for my mom and she loved it. Really pretty and a great sound.

This wind chime was surprisingly pretty. My plan was to put it in the backyard, but moved it to the front after seeing it. It’s more medium sized than large. And the tone has much more treble than bass. Overall, it’s very nice.

These chimes are beautifully packaged, well made and have some nice features for gift giving or for yourself...the price is very attractive...the only problem I can see is the sound. They don't sound awful...they just don't sound great. They don't have a specific tonal quality. I have found an "adjustable" button on the clapper which allows you to set it higher or lower on the length of the chime...that seems to change the sound somewhat and will allow you to "shut off" the sound if place high or low enough on the chime. I have an attractive black metal owl, a sculptural wind chime that has a similar lack of tonal charm...so I will put these two attractive, but musically challenged chimes, together, in my husband's organic food garden...maybe it will help keep the birds away...lol...if you are looking for a melodic, tonal, musically attuned wind chime...this isn't it...it is an attractive, well made, somewhat tone-deaf, type of chime...not bad, just not what I expected.
