Shelf Talkers 12" Talking Plush Andy from The 40-Year-Old Virgin Movie, Pull String Toy Collectible Plush

I wanted this because it's hilarious. It isn't the most accurate depiction of Steve Carrell, but it's cute and seriously funny. If you like the movie you'll love this doll.

I really only got this to keep on the shelf as a sort of collectible since I am a big Steve Carell fan, but I like the appearance and quality of the figure. It's well made and sits nicely in its box so there is no need to remove it unless you wanted to. The pull string reveals 14 different phrases, although nothing obscene or too adulterated. The audio quality is a bit so-so but I was able to make out most of it. Honestly, I was more interested in the visual appearance so I am very happy with how it looks. Of course, you can unbutton the shirt to reveal the infamous half-waxed chest, so that is a nice touch.

You've heard of the Andy doll, but I doubt it was this one ;)The doll is bigger than you think, and it's actually very high quality, as I would expect for this sort of thing.I'm impressed with the building/materials, and the audio works lovely!Overall, this is a great product, and I'm very satisfied with this!

This is one of my favorite movies, so when I saw this doll I thought it was hilarious and wanted to get it. Unfortunately, I wasn’t too happy with what I received. The doll is very well made, but honestly I don’t really think it looks like Steve Carrell from the movie (minus the patchy chest hair, which was a very nice touch). The other Shelf Talkers dolls are very similar to the characters they represent; this company just kind of missed the mark with this one. People that have come over and have seen the doll never think it’s Andy.The quotes themselves are good, but could have been better. For a movie known for its one-liners, they didn’t really pick the best ones, but I do get a kick out of pulling the string and hearing the random jokes. It makes me want to rewatch it every time.So yeah, it’s well made but the actual design could’ve used a little more tweaking.

Awesome! I've seen the movie "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" and it was a fun movie, but my real motivation to get this doll is because my name is Andy and this doll looks just like me, too funny! The head is plastic, and the features are crisp and well done. Look at the face and activate the voice and it's clearly Steve Carell, great for fans of the movie! The body, arms and legs are polyester cloth stuffed with polyester fibers. The clothes/body are sewn nicely and look good. Inside the body is a plastic voice box that uses three LR44 batteries. There's a Velcro opening on Andy's behind to remove the voice box to change the batteries (although I'm sure the batteries will last a long time). Pulling a string on Andy's back will activate one of the 14 recorded lines from the movie. The string just activates the electronic voice, it doesn't wind up anything like the dolls from years ago. The sound is good, you can clearly understand what Andy is saying. There's a Velcro opening on the front of Andy's shirt that can be opened to reveal the partial body waxing results. Quality appears to be excellent, everything has been made well and looks good. This has my recommendation!

This is a great gag gift for someone. Who doesn't love Andy from 40 Year old virgin?! It's true to size, stands about a foot tall. There is a cord on the back that you pull and you get the quotes. It is rather quiet, which is why I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars. Other than that, good quality and light weight.

Love it! Got it just because why not? Perfect shelf size love that it talks.

The media could not be loaded.  There has to be someone somewhere in the team who designed this doll that thought “this is a joke” and never spoke up. So first things first, it looks nothing like Steve carrell, it’s actually a bit terrifying in person. Secondly, 14+? And there’s nothing moderately even PG-13 that’s said.. and the movie has some GREAT one liners in it.Third, the sound quality is terrible.. like holding your phone up to the tv as you watch the movie to rip the sound files to insert in the doll. And last and most importantly: these “film lines” are bonkers. You can preview all of them in the video I’m submitting.. but two of them are just the stuff he randomly ad libs during the scene where his chest is being waxed. What a waste.I’ve reviewed this so you don’t have to waste your money. Just say no. 1/5 stars. Just yikes.
