Bechtle - Blackforest Style Spaetzle (500g/17.6 Oz.)

I am no gourmet I just specifically purchase this product because it brings back memories of my father who shared a memory of the homemade noodles his German mother made for meals when he was growing up she had passed long before I was born but his memory of her was evoked with a great lingering wistful teary-eyed smile when we'd enjoy homemade buttered noodles at an annual church social we'd attend in tiny town he grew up in. I buy these, cook, butter, and think of my father, now also long passed.

My mother used to make egg noodles for chicken soup. They were soooo good and these taste very much like them and have a similar texture. These noodles are easy to prepare - just put them in broth, with or without some cooked chicken, boil for about 20 minutes and you have a delicious soup! No mess and taste so much better than canned soup. Expensive, but good!

My overall favorite noodle is Bechtle. But much cheaper at World Market.

I was born and raised in the Black Forest. These spaetzle are the closest thing to the way my mother made it. Highly recommended.
