You probably need a rather peculiar sense of humor
Great political (albeit Australian) cartoons. At least the US isn't the only looney part of the world. Meet unforgettable characters Fiona the unemployed bandicoot (sorry, Fiona is a bettong, the bandicoot is into interpretive dance for the ABC) . This is a collection from prior years - if you want to get an idea of the cartoons visit The Guardian which regularly publishes them.

Wonderful, warm, amusing, leftish cartoon humor
A light-hearted but sharp-eyed look at Australian and international politics from a left perspective. The animals are cute. Even the vegetables are cute. In many ways the comic is drawn for children, but the occasional use of profanity makes it unsuitable for them. The First Dog possesses genuine wit. His Treasury is a treasure for any adult seeking laughs. But anyone who wants to enjoy this delightful volume must already be familiar with Australian politics or else be willing to do some internet surfing to catch up: if you don't know who Tony Abbott and Julia Gillard are, not to mention Scott Morrison and Peter Dutton, you will be quite lost. And don't confuse Sarah Hanson-Young with Pauline Hanson!

Great!
Since I am American, I don't get all of the political references, but I LOVE getting to know other countries through their humor.

It's very "Australian-centric"
The drawings are great, the artist must be a very cool guy. He's very Australian-local and politically-bent and I had trouble connecting to his storyline because I live in North America and don't know the Aussie intricacies of local Parliament etc. That said, his characters are cute, love them, and the way they are drawn and think this book would be especially appreciated by Australians.
