While I've tried every brand of the stuff since reading about it 2-3 years ago, I still can't swear to the efficacy of the whole NICOTINAMIDE (aka 'NR' to you more knowledgeable aficionados) "magic". I don't know if I have more or better cells than before I was taking it or if it' staved off any physiological calamity that people like myself-- people who can answer questions like "Where were you when Kennedy was shot?" or "Do you remember the Beatles first Ed Sulivan appearance?" are beginning to worry about. I don't feel worse, and for the most part, I AM less tired and more "on" than my wife who doesn't believe in anything that doesn't come with Big Pharma/FDA approval. And despite the fact I'm out the door by 8:15 and my commute is 100 miles/day and I don't get home before 9PM (while she works 2 blocks from our home), I can't get her to consider even trying this whole "class of supplements". Again, I'm not saying it's NICOTINAMIDE related, but why risk finding out? That being said, I look for the brand(s) with the best reviews/value and make that one my "go to" and going off those merits Dr Seth was just what the Dr ordered--or would be, if my Dr believed in this stuff--his comment(after looking into it) was "well it can't hurt, so why not?". So why 4 stars? Because I can't point to any concrete results from it (unlike my mushroom regimen). But all things considered, it's every bit as good as the other, pricier brands I've tried(BTW re the answers to those earlier questions,As I was too young for kindergarten, I was playing with my cousin in my grandparent's house--he rememberes the details I got verification of where I wasI was asleep, tho the next morning I distinctly remember watching the clip of "I want to hold your hand" with my mom --a fact she denies to this day (because their hair was long)

Unfortunately, it did not have any effect on that. Told by a doctor it would have to be the kind of niacin that causes flushing. :< I do experience one of the other side effects with itching for hours, but this doesn't occur daily thank goodness. As for the other items it states it helps with, it may have benefited my metabolism & kept my moods in a happier state. I am probably hyperactive naturally so didn't need that area enhanced, & as as far as "synthesis of sex hormones" since I've had a hysterectomy & not on HRT, make enough testosterone naturally due to the muscle mass I've retained, I do not see a difference in that area either. No increased libido which would have been nice. It does say its natural, non-GMO, nothing artificial so that's a plus. I'll continue taking it just for the mood elevation benefit but didn't need the increased energy, even at 60, & take any metabolic benefits it might provide. I do not have a weight problem & don't want to develop one like so many post menopausal women do. This is an honest review & possibly TMI for some, but my experience since taking.

I want to share my results, but first let me say that I cant say that this product caused the difference but I didn't change anything else so I can only assume. I am taking a double does, one in the morning and one at night. The first thing that I noticed after about 3 days is that first thing in the morning my knees didn't ache like they have for the last 15 years. I've always had good eyes but now that I'm in my 50s it has gotten difficult to read small print especially in the dark, about a week into taking these I've noticed a significant improvement. As for energy, maybe that's very subjective and hard to quantify, but could be. The claims about heart health, cholesterol and skin I cant judge but I will say that as soon as I finish this review I'm ordering another bottle just to be sure that I don't run out.

I starting taking NAD a few years ago. I usually order HPN and love that product. When I needed to order more, Amazon and HPN were out of stock. I ordered Dr. Seth's NAD. I find it to be just as effective as HPN. Plenty of energy for this 61 year old. I am an RN that works 12 hour shifts (running around all day). I work out on my days off and am plenty busy after that. I used to feel so tired mid afternoon (like I needed a nap--no more, plenty of energy throughout the day). The dosage is twice as much (500 mg vs 250 mg). You get more product at a cheaper price, and it works just as well. I like the fact it is nonGMO, no artificial ingredients, vegetarian (as I am one), made in the USA. So you have quality at an affordable price. I will be purchasing this item again.

I bought this supplement wrongly. I thought I was buying Nicotinamide Mononucleotide to boost NAD, not a type of vitamin B3. However, after a month using this product I notice a real difference in my facial skin. It's like I'm getting younger by the day. I can not tell if is just this supplement alone or some of the moisturizers I started to use as well (or a combination of them all), but I'm impressed with what I see in the mirror. Will definitely reorder.

I’m using this product in conjunction with Resveratrol based upon David Sinclair’s research at Harvard. Sinclair says that Resveratrol acts like the gas and Nicotinamide acts like the gas pedal to help a person stay healthy longer. Sinclair has been doing research to help people remain more youthful into their later years of life.
