2,200+ miles and still going strong!
An honest review from someone who has owned 7 different scooters from 5 different brands/manufacturers.Range:I'm 160lbs and my commute is mostly flat terrain. On the 15mph setting I get about 17 miles of range. On the 19mph setting I get about 14-15 miles of range. You may get more or less depending on your weight and if you're going up hills or against the wind.Note: It's common knowledge that most manufacturers drastically inflate their achievable range statistics. Wheelspeed is no different. The numbers I've listed above are the real world TESTED range numbers that I achieved.Build-Quality and Ride Quality:It's a well built, solid scooter. Very comfortable and a smooth ride. The deck has lots of foot room. The back shock absorber is very sturdy (doesn't seem to be adjustable) and doesn't rattle when going over bumps. So, it's definitely a welcome addition.Folding mechanism (quick and easy):TO FOLD: Push the steering column forward WHILE pulling up on the red handle. You will NOT be able to pull up on the red handle unless you're ALSO pushing forward on the steering column. TO UNFOLD: simply repeat the above process. If you find it difficult to pull up on the red handle (even when pushing forward on the steering column) YOU CAN EASILY ADJUST THE TIGHTNESS/RESISTANCE of the folding mechanism. As clearly noted in the instructions manual, there are two bolts located on the frame directly behind the front wheel (below where it folds). Clockwise to tighten, counter clockwise to loosen.Note: This scooter folds within the frame, not directly ON the steering column. Scooters with "in frame" folding mechanisms usually have a little "movement" at the folding joint. The same bolts that adjust the tightness of the folding mechanism also adjust the tightness of the folding area as well. You'll always have a bit of movement in that area, which is something to anticipate when hitting the brakes at high speed.Handlebars:The handlebars are very easy to install. It's actually the only item you need to install after unboxing the scooter, and doesn't require any tools. They simply slide into the steering column and are tightened with a folding latch. This is very convenient for installation, BUT might also make it convenient for thieves to steal or vandalize your handlebars (if you leave your scooter parked somewhere). If you're concerned about handlebar theft/vandalism you can easily replace the folding latch with two actual bolts (not included). The handlebars are wide, sit at the perfect height, and have very comfortable grips. The display is bright, easy to read (even in daylight), and all functions are easy to access via one button. The brake lever works nicely with the cable running into the steering column. The included bell works just fine.Headlight:The headlight is brighter than some other scooters I've tried, but not as bright as I had hoped. I still needed to add an external headlight for safety during night riding.I really like how the headlight turns on automatically in a dark environment. This should be a standard feature on all scooters!Deck lights:Yes, you can easily add deck lights to any scooter for roughly $10-$15, but it's nice to have them built-in (not having to worry about a separate battery).Water resistance:The manufacturer has stated online that it is IPX4. Even so, there appears to be lots of areas where water might enter; like the deck lights area, the folding area, and the handlebar area near the grips. I'm sure you can ride in very light rain or on wet streets, but this would not be a good choice if you live where it rains a lot.Front Wheel Drive:In my opinion, having the motor at the front wheel is preferable on scooters with air-filled (pneumatic) tires. Most flats on scooters occur at the back wheel. When the motor is at the back it's USUALLY a much more difficult process to remove the wheel, disconnect the motor wires, etc. I like that the Wheelspeed has the motor at the front. There are several good videos on YouTube that demonstrate how to remove tires and install tubes on the Wheelspeed.Scooter weight and weight limit:The scooter weighs about 43lbs. It can support 265lbs.Charging time:From 0% to 100% is 7.5 hours. I don't wait for the scooter to reach 0%, and after travelling about 11 miles it takes about 3 and a half hours to charge.Excellent customer service /Contacting the manufacturer:My scooter was missing the needed valve stem extender (for the front wheel). For any issues that require contacting the manufacturer, I would recommend sending a message through their storefront here on Amazon. You can also email the address given in the manual. I received a courteous and prompt reply, and they immediately sent me the needed valve stem extender (two versions) for FREE. I'm very happy with the quality of costumer service.Final thoughts:In my opinion, the Wheelspeed WS1 PRO is one of the best budget scooters available. It's often on sale for $300-$350 (when using the available coupon). At that price it's better than ANY budget scooter offered by GoTrax, HiBoy, NIU, or Segway/Ninebot.UPDATE (July 2023):After 7 months and more than 2,200 miles travelled, my Wheelspeed is still going strong. I like it so much that I bought a second one. Extremely reliable and a very comfortable, stable ride.P.S. (regarding the front tire and the valve stem extender):Depending on the type of air pump you use you'll probably need a valve stem extender to inflate the front tire. Apparently they forgot to include the extender in some packages and in others they included an extender that really doesn't work that well (difficult to attach). If you have either problem, let them know and I'm sure they'll solve the issue promptly. The best type of extender is one that fully extends the valve with a full valve core at the end (for attaching a pump). Some extenders don't have a full core at the end, requiring you to have your pump attached to the extender BEFORE attaching to the valve. Either way, it's easy to figure out. If your scooter didn't come with an extender and you need it immediately, you can buy one at any bike or auto store for about $3.Update: 11/2023Still going strong. No problems at all. Very reliable commuter. HOWEVER, I'm not sure if Wheelspeed has discontinued the WS1/WS1 PRO? It's only occasionally available here on Amazon and the price is NOWHERE NEAR the great deal that it was last year. In 2022 and early 2023 the WS1 PRO was selling for $297-349. At that price, it's a bargain. Anything over $400 and I'd look at other scooters. Also, the other smaller, cheaper offering by Wheelspeed is definitely not worth the price. Hopefully Wheelspeed either brings back the WS1 PRO (at a great price) or offers something better.

Fun, good speed, NEED 3rd party piece
UPDATE: 1/31/2023Buyer beware. There is no hope for inflating the front tire on this POS. If I could return this and all the accessories, I would. It's unusable. I wrote the company -- they did not respond about the tire. In the original review I suggested buying a pass through air adapter. F it. I am tempted to just throw the whole scooter away, seriously. I will write the company again and if I get a response this time, I will update the review. If this review is still standing, they have not responded.Original Review when it was 4 stars:Although I have enjoyed riding this scooter for the last two weeks, I'm a stickler for having proper air pressure in tires. The back tire has a normal valve stem and is very easy to fill with air to the proper pressure. The valve stem on the front tire is recessed into the wheel so Wheelspeed includes an extension tube you are supposed to connect to this tire when you want to fill it with air. Brace yourself for frustration because my standard air compressor attachment and this extension don't get along well and I can't imagine any that do. The moment you stop blowing air into the tire, it starts coming right back out. In order to check how much pressure is in the tire, you need to attach a pressure gauge and you are going to start losing air the moment you try to attach it, detach it, detach the extension, cap the tire, etc. And it takes all of 4 seconds to completely deflate the tire. It's the worst tire valve extender I have ever seen in my life. I wrote Wheelspeed about it and will update this review if they have a good solution but the extension they provided is not one at all. Go down to Advanced Auto or look on Amazon for a valve stem extender (not a hose) with inflate-through. It makes the difference between joy and wanting to smash the scooter with a hammer. But that little piece from the auto store works PERFECTLY! That's my only major issue with the scooter. I bought it as an "Early Black Friday" deal for about $560. Now, just past Thanksgiving, it's $100 less than that. I wish it had more power for hills, some off road capabilities, a digital horn, turn signals, but that's a different scooter purchase for the future. My son weighs about 125 lbs and can go up a hill at 14 mph that I can only go up at 5 mph while weighing 245 lbs.

4.5/5 Awesome and powerful scooter!
The media could not be loaded. Alright! Here’s the truth about scooters: the speed and range will always depend on the rider’s weight (and environment)!!! This being said, I’m 6’2, 235lbs, and this scooters gets my up a hill easily. It’s gets me to 30kmh(19mph) and I get a hoot 15-20km in sports mode. (Eco mode would get me further, but my weight is a challenge), it’s enough for me to get to the gym, stores, etc… and there is no doubt for me THAT A LIGHTER PERSON WILL GET WAY MORE RANGE!Now let’s talk about the rest:Pros:***The customer service was amazing (contact them through Amazon) ****-that light bar under the deck is beautiful!-very sturdy-great suspension-lights flash when braking-brakes are good!-deck is long and large (feet size 12)-folding mechanism is very good!-motor is powerful-smooth rideCons:-I first had to return it because of a flat tire (my new one has no issue with the tires but *****the new scooter seems like a newer generation****)-a lot of plastic on the deck, it’s sturdy but looks toyish-no locking points (I put a cable through the wheel)-long charging time-it’s pretty heavy (46lbs, I don’t mind it since I’m used to lifting)

You can feel the passion on the wheel
In short, this electric scooter is worth of its price.350W Powerful MotorThough you can only reach top speed of 25 KM/H, but you can still feel the strong power and high-torque during acceleration. It's strong eough to overcome most of uneven surface and small hills.Comfortable Riding ExperienceOnce you stand on the wide deck, you can feel both of your feet obtain great support. And you can also feel comfortable due to rear suspension and 10" pneumatic tires. They can absorb most of small bumpy or shock.Super Cool Deck LightI really like the atmosphere light beside the deck. The dynamic blue light looks so cool in the dark. It can light up the way, and can alarm vehicles behind to increase safety. This deck light can even flash as a braking light when you hold the hand brake. That's cool!Portable Folding MechanismI have to say the folding system is unique and easy to use. You just need to pull the red cycle on the stem to achieve fold and unfold effects. It's far friendly to the new users of electric scooter.

Not to happy
I got my scooter June 6 th riding it home like always and it just died. The battery was fully charged I can push the start button it powers up like it’s suppose to everything is normal except it will not move. I can go to all 3 gears but the tire just won’t turn so wut is wrong with it because before this I was very happy with my WHEELSPEED scooter but not to impressed with it now. It should be under warranty should it not. I ordered it with my visa so I would like to trade it for a new one cause I got to send it away get it fixed and then get it back so there goes more money and more time walking to work again so not happy or impressed with the scooter now

Awesome scooter!
So far so good! Initial charge was fast (under 3 hrs), but it is heavy! I was hoping to scoot into work and take it up the elevator to my office but it’s pretty awkward and heavy for that. So won’t be able too but all good. The folding thing is kinda tricky but once you get it, it’s fine. The first few times of folding/unfolding, it did get “stuck” in the unfolded (upright) position. What worked for me was using my arm underneath the tee bar to get the front tires off the ground, then pull the red lever up, and it unfolded for me.Top speed for me was 25 km/hr. I weigh around 120 lbs. Only tested thing out once but happy with it! Love the cruise control feature. Lights are great and the bell is awesome! I took one star off just cuz of the folding issue and the heaviness. Nice riding too.
