Q: Will this work with the smaller 500ml hydrant sport bottle?

Yes, but if I remember rightly, I had to cut the top of the lid to make it fit, very easy to do.

Sometimes clear and sometimes blue.

Q: how long is the tube and what is the outside diameter

Hi Gary The diameter is about 6mm and the tube is about a meter long We only use it for our son as he & his mum have myotonic Dystrophy & Alex (our son) is a racing driver & we use it for him when he’s racing as it’s easier for him to drink out of a bottle & straw like that, we cut it down so it fits in his bottles better.
