RUTA Natural Acting Sleep Aid, 28 Count View largerRutaSleep Reduces Caffeine LevelsDid you know that one-cup of coffee can stay in your system for over 10 hours? Linnet’s patent pending formula, RutaSleep, is a sleep aid specifically designed to help caffeine consumers fall asleep and stay asleep by reducing caffeine levels then releasing melatonin right before you go to bed. RutaSleep contains a unique main ingredient, rutaecarpine, that works with your body to remove caffeine naturally. RutaSleep was developed in the USA by a pharmacist team in partnership with a leading University. Ingredients Rutaecarpine - 100mg Melatonin - 3mg (timed Release) Other: Gelatin, Microcrystalline Cellulose (vegetable grade), Magnesium Stearate, Silicon Dioxide Directions: Take one serving (2 capsules) before bed to promote sleep. While times may vary between individuals, our customers have reported positive results when taken 30 minutes to 2 hours prior.Rutaecarpine's HistoryRutaSleep contains 100mg of rutaecarpine from the Evodia fruit, which is rich in the substance and 3mg of timed-release Melatonin. The Evodia fruit is native to China and Korea and has been used for digestion problems and lack of appetite in Traditional Chinese Medicine for many years. Recently a study published in the Archives of Pharmacal Research looked at rutaecarpine’s effect on caffeine. The results clearly suggest that rutaecarpine increases the metabolism of caffeine in rats. WebMD notes Evodia’s interaction with caffeine and states that it may reduce caffeine’s effectiveness. Therefore, the goal of RutaSleep is to speed up the rate at which caffeine is broken down and removed from the body. The Melatonin is then released to promote a more normal, restful sleep and help regulate sleep and wake cycles.Reasons to Cleanse Caffeine• Caffeine is causing sleep problems. • Daily consumption is well beyond what is considered safe. • Coffee or energy drink habit is straining finances. • Uncomfortable jittery feeling and other unwanted effects. • The desire to no longer be addicted to caffeine. • Caffeine tolerance is too high and caffeine no longer has the desired effect. A caffeine cleanse or the desire to detoxify the body of caffeine is becoming increasingly popular as more awareness of caffeine’s addictive nature arises. While the human body is able to naturally breakdown and cleanse caffeine from the body, there may be times when a more speedy detox is required. RutaSleep could help in those situations.Caffeine Can Be UsefulCaffeine can be very useful when completing tasks at work, exercising, taking care of the family to-do list, or needing to stay up late to study for that important exam. RutaSleep promotes rest and relaxation by removing caffeine when unwanted. Sometimes, you may find yourself over stimulated with the jitters after that 5 hour energy or one too many cups of coffee. If you have been here before, you know that horrible feeling of extreme discomfort. If you consume any of the following products, RutaSleep may work for you: Starbucks Coffee, 5 hour energy, Red Bull, Monster, Rockstar, Amp, NOS, Full Throttle, Xyience Xenergy, and NO Xplode.View largerBenefits of RutaSleepUseful for a faster caffeine cleanse Promotes better sleep for those who consume caffeine during the day. It works!
This definitely does its job. I used to take 2 pills as directed, but then I realized that I can just take 1 pill and it's just as effective. The directions say to take it 2 hours before you want to go to bed, but taking 1 makes me drowsy a little over an hour after I take it.

I can drink tea with my dinner!
I can drink tea with my dinner! I've been using Ruta Sleep for over a year and I'm still very happy with the results. I wish it worked quicker but I just make sure I take it at the right time, which is no different than a lot of prescription meds that have to be take at certain times. As long as this product is available, I will be drinking tea at night AND getting enough sleep. Also, I don't have any side effects. When I wake up in the mornings I feel like I had a good night sleep. Before I ever used Ruta Sleep I would wake up very cranky and unhappy because I new I was going to be dragging all day but now I don't have to feel that way!

Didn't work very well for me
The Ruta Sleep aid is a combination "caffeine removal" and sleep aid supplement. They come in white capsules that are rather large and hard to swallow, plus you need to take two of them and it needs to be two whole hours before bed. It just seemed like more trouble than it's worth. The caffeine removal system didn't seem to have any measure for us to know whether it was working, and it made me feel rather queasy and funny as I was trying to sleep, which still took a while. I take melatonin regularly and frankly, the Ruta Sleep supplement didn't seem to work any better than taking one of those 30-60 minutes before sleep, so I'd rather stick with straight melatonin and avoid the queasiness and longer-acting time until effectiveness just to have some sort of "caffeine removal." It might be different for someone else, but I won't be taking it again.

Just OK...
I use a sleep aid almost every night to get sleep. If I need to get a good nights rest I use Alka Seltzer night. However, it leaves me groggy the next day. Another one I use Nature Made Melatonin Vitamelts 3 Mg Sleep Smooth Dissolve Tablet 60 Count , works but if I wake up, I can’t fall back asleep that easily. This is for a very short term use, supply wise. There are 14 pills and you are supposed to take two at night, basically, a week’s supply. I must admit the pills were literally hard to swallow. There are rather large and when I am tired, it is hard to get two of them down. For that reason alone these would not be the first ones I grab. I took them for a few days and they did work, however, they did not keep my asleep but just aided me in falling asleep. They might work for other people but I think I have been trying melatonin for over two years now that it just does not work as well on me. However, it might work on you but with the low supply and difficult tablets, I would look for another aid.

7 day supply.....only made it to Day 2. Not for me
Well Ive tried quite a few sleeping aids in my day and majority of them I liked because they worked pretty well. But these have to be the worse ones so far.... For one they are very hard to swallow (you have to take 2 about an hour or two before bedtime) I probably spent about 5 minutes trying to get one capsule down which I found strange because I have other pills in the capsule form such as Hairfinity and Macaa Root and both of these go down without a problem.Once I was finally able to get them down it took quite awhile for me to go to sleep, when I finally woke up I had a slight headache and didn't feel refreshed at all, mostly sluggish. I tried these again the next night, same results. By day 3 I just gave them up all together and decided not to take them anymore because they made me feel worse.

Didn't notice anything
This is a unique product. It was originally tested on rats, and if I'm correct, a limited trial on people. There was a good site with a review where someone from the company commented on the dose, which needs to be somewhat low for people compared to the rats, in order to be safe. I tried it various times, and took three pills, which is one more than the recommended two (NOT recommended, since the ingredients can cause unknown effects) and I can't say I noticed anything at all. I really wanted to. I like coffee, but can't drink as much as I'd like. I tried using this on days when I drank more, and it was like a placebo (not placebo effect). Since it's so untested, it could work differently for different people, so if you really want to and have the money, you might want to give it a try.
