Trangia Mini Windshield with Spirit Burn

Q: Best trangia stand for my own pots? I'll be using medium sized stainless steel.

I'm not sure that I agree with those who say that "medium sized" pots are fine for this stove. First of all, how heavy are these "medium sized stainless steel " pots you will be using? If they are lightweight, then you should be able to balance them on the stove by being careful. Even heavier ones might work in a pinch. But keep in mind what this stove is designed to do: it is lightweight, quite small and made for use on back-country trips. People (including myself) do use them for car/RV camping, but with appropriately-sized/weighted pots.

Q: Can you use denatured alcohol with this?

Methanol is best. You can use isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol, but it is not as efficient. I use "HEET" ( methanol) in the yellow bottle, which is available at any auto parts store.

Q: Has anyone tried this with th Stanley Adventure Cookset?

Have not used it yet. But, bought it on a recommendation from a seasoned trail hiker:) It’s in my backpack ready to go!

Q: Are there different size stoves ?

No. The burners are all the same size. If looking at entire kits with pots/pans, there are different sizes and options in those, but they are all built around the Spirit Burner.
