Conrad Gotz ZK1593G-NAT Chinrest Stradivari for Violin, natural Ebony

I'm not convinced there is much difference between the natural and the dyed ebony in these Gotz models...the natural ebony looks fairly "slickered" up to me (wish they had this pattern in rosewood, instead of ebony or faux boxwood). I've had a few problems with wrong labels/boxes for Gotz products (e.g. 115mm-labeled tailpieces were actually 112mm), so maybe the regular polished ebony model was shipped in a natural ebony labeled box (twice?). The shape/fit of the Stradivari chinrests works much better for me than comparable Guarneri types. Overall quality is good...if you like Guarneri chinrests, though, I'd recommend sticking to the cheaper Indian chinrests in ebony or rosewood.

No question. Elegant, the curvature perfectly cups the chin, and best of all, doesn't rattle against the tailpiece. Wonderful packaging and fine details. Couldn't ask for more.

It's perfect, literally. It feels like it's almost molded for my chin. At first I was taken back as it's appears taller then my other chin rest, but even if it is; it makes no difference it fits perfectly. This makes three Conrad Gotz accessories on my violin. I'm starting to sense a pattern. maybe I'll look at their pegs next.

This beautifully replaced my chin rest. My original broke, and it's a relatively inexpensive violin, so I thought this specific chin rest would spruce it up. It did! Comfortable, high quality! Just unfortunately it doesn't come with the tool to put it on.

I have 4 violin that I play on a regular basis and I will be adding this to all of them. Loved the overall quality. I would highly recommend
