Excellent quality
I bought the Simms retractor and was pretty disappointed (it's all plastic and cheap). I decided to buy this and see how it compares and this time I definitely wasn't disappointed! It's high quality and I love the fact that I can change the angle of attachment. I keep my nippers on my sling pack on my back and when I reach back to pull them to me for use, they can pull staright to me rather than twisting the retractor at a weird angle. It's hard to explain but it's a nice little feature. The build quality leaves me trusting this with any and all my tools.

Very handy
This works well fastened to a fishing vest. Stays out of the way, but easy to use when needed.

Right product, wrong color
The product was correct and of good fishpond quality, but I chose the gunmetal option, and I received the green. So if you like to coordinate your colors, might want to chose a different vendor.

Love these - high quality you expect from Fishpond
I love these. Added 3 to my new vest and couldn't be happier. Unlike the typical retractors they don't offer excessive resistance when extended. They're super unique, and I've had other people ask about them. No complaints other than the price but Fishpond makes quality products so I don't mind paying for that.

this works great, a bit pricey for what it is
Ive read some complaints about the pin coming loose, but I assume those who have had this issue did not fully set the pin. there is a ridge on the pin that locks it in, and before I realized how to take the pin out (push on the bottom) i tried to pull the pin and thought i was going to break it before it came out. That being said, this works great, a bit pricey for what it is, but it is a great addition to your pack.
