Works as described. So far so good.
Initial review:It arrived in one day, and it arrived with 54% battery. I had some filtered bacon fat in a pint jar, so I thought that would be the prefect first test. The sticker on the top says it is recommended to operate for over 40 seconds. The vacuum device for snugly over the jar mouth. My jar is currently over 8 oz, and I could hear it reach its max vacuum by 20 seconds. But if I had a nickname it would be Overkill, and I let it run for fifty even though the pitch did not change.I did the standard "turn the jar upside down" test a couple times and it seems to have performed very nicely. The operation is simple: press the device onto the mouth of the jar and push the button. After the necessary time has passed, press the button again and remove the device. So far is have to say it's worked very good, especially for the low price. And at the size of an American softball, I will be able to store this just about anywhere. My next two tests will be periodically checking the vacuum on this jar, and vacuum packing bread flour.I will update as time goes on. But so far I would recommend this product.

I love the all in one unit vs. others with a hose
I have 2 Mason Jar Vacuum Sealers. The other has the cup you put on the jar, connect the hose, and vacuum. You have to stand there and hold the power unit. With this one, I attach it and can put away items in the Fridge, pull the trash bag out, wipe down the counters, etc. Allowing you to "walk away" for 60 seconds really is helpful. The % indicator never gets above 60%. I test my jars, even LARGE jars with heavy items like nuts, by picking the jar up only holding the seal. If you can lift your jar and the seal doesn't break, you're good! If the seal breaks, you likely had debris on the rim, have an old seal, or from time to time, the seal loses position and I have to re-vacuum. 1 in 40 times. It holds a charge for a long time. I use mason jars almost 100% of the time for leftovers & 100% when I open anything else (chips, crackers, flour, nuts, oats, spices, etc.) EX: If I open flour, I put the rest in a mason jar, clean the rim, then seal. I sealed chips for 3 weeks and they were still as good as 2 days in just the rolled up bag. I LOVE sealing with Mason Jars. We toss out far less food than ever before.

A must have
Another must have gadget if you do any canning or freeze drying. I use this sealer multiple times a day. I even bought one for my neighbor. It's easy to use and seals great. If you store anything in jars, get this product. You don't need to spend the extra money on other brands. This one does the trick.

Game Changer for Sealing
This is NOT a replacement for canning (water bath or pressure cooking). But it IS a game changer for sealing things like dry goods, refrigerated shredded cheeses, refrigerated fruits, and leftovers. This works for both regular and wide-mouth jars, and the lids are reusable because it comes with a lid remover that doesn't dent the lids. Once items are opened, I don't like to keep them in plastic containers (cottage cheese, sour cream etc.) This is perfect for re-sealing those items in glass mason jars to keep them fresh longer! I had cut up some lettuce...3 weeks later...I kid you not...it was as fresh as the day I cut it! Again, this is NOT to replace canning...so things won't stay fresh forever (although dry goods like rice, beans, cereal would be fine for several months). And I love that you just recharge it by plugging it in when needed. I also use a vacuum sealer with bags...but now I only use that for frozen items. I use this little gadget for refrigerated items and dry goods. I love it!
