This thing is really bright, like insanely bright, even on the first level. It maintains it's charge for quite some time, which is nice, and even nicer that you can charge it via USD vs having to make sure you always have spare batteries on hand.I've actually been using this as a bit of a ringlight in low-light situations to take photos of other people vs using it as a selfie light. My husband's in a band and I run a music magazine as a labour of love, so despite the fact that I have a nice camera, I often end up in situations in which I'm taking photos to upload on our magazine's Instagram in dimly lit pubs/bars/venues with obnoxious red lighting setups and this really helps. I hold it in my hand vs clipping it onto the camera and it's actually super easy to control the light flow to your intended subject. It's immediately become a really convenient gadget to keep in my purse.
