Value priced, and when the thermothingy heated up the current was enough to wake up the electromagnet in my old gas fireplace. I heard it open, strong! Fixed my fireplace, I'd buy it again.

Got this to fix a freestanding gas fireplace. The component was straightforward enough to install. The only issues I had were those caused by the stove itself and its hard-to-reach terminals. Once in, lit the pilot and everything worked like it's supposed to.

The pilot light on my gas fire place kept going out. Read online it could be my Thermopile. Ended up buying this one and it worked! Since I installed it my fire place has been working perfect. Install was easy. I highly recommend.

Works and no problems

Install one of these little beauties and we will be meeting soon. Many of them fail within days of installation but hey they're cheap, buy two they're small, well except for the ones that are actually to big to,fit in the pilot assembly which, in my experience, is about half of them. I'll look forward to meeting you after you try to save a buck by buying this worthless junk and driving yourself crazy trying to follow some idiot on youtube ( who doesn't have a clue ). By the way search for all the things you SHOULDN'T do to your fireplace before working on it, that should fill volumes but I bet you won't find anything. Good luck, see you soon.

This works in my Dovre by heatalator gas fireplace. I bought one locally because I didn’t have a part number so I wasn’t sure which one I needed. It was $60. I got the name brand and part number of the package and looked on Amazon. I bought this one which is the EXACT same one, form the same company, for $12.99! If you can change it out yourself buy this. It works just like the original one.

This thermopile is advertised and specified to produce 750 mV. My unit only produces a maximum of 575 mV.I tested it open circuit (under no load) with my stovetop flame fully engulfing the upper sensitive portion of the unit (much more flame than normally realized from the pilot light) so that the upper portion of the unit was glowing red hot. After about two minutes, the open circuit finally crept up to 575 mV, but would go no higher. I went ahead and installed it until I can get a fully working replacement, and it only intermittently operates the gas valve in my fireplace.FWIW, I have degrees in both Physics and Electrical Engineering, so there is a reasonable chance I know what I'm talking about when I say that the product I received is out of spec, and not by just a little. I won't be buying any MENSI product again, if I can avoid it.

Install may be tricky for some , but the product is working fine .

I ordered this product online when i figured out that it was the problem with my gas fireplace. would not stay lit and would not fire up. Received very quickly in perfect condition, I installed it in about 30 minutes and fireplace fired up immediately and is still working great after a month or so. this product was a perfect replacement for the OEM. I saw a few competing products online and they were less money but I decided on this one even though it was a little higher price. it seemed to be the best quality and it is working great.

Got two. One for the downstairs fireplace and one spare for when the upstairs one needs replacing. Pain to install but that's the fireplace's fault, not the thermistor.Original ran for 16years. This one is on it's second year. No issue.

Installation of a thermopile is not for everyone. There are lots of YouTube videos available that show you the replacement procedure, and also check out the YT videos on how to test your existing thermopile before ordering a new one. This one was an exact replacement for the old Honeywell it replaced. Just be sure to order the correct model for your needs, and also pay attention to the wire/cable length
