Amazing and worth the money. The best customer service I have ever experienced!
We bought the Farm 24XL. Setup was fairly easy. We took our time and encountered no real problems. Our kit came with very old , expired seed pods, We used chat to contact customer service. It was a horrible. The rep wanted proof of purchase before replacing my ancient pods. I asked for the customer service phone number. What a difference! The phone rep immediately offered to replace the expired pods. She also gave me great advice on using the Farm.OPERATIONThere is more to this than you might think. Once set up, the Farm will remind you to add plant food every two weeks. Here's the part that many people ignore: EVERY MONTH DRAIN AND RINSE. Minerals from the plant food will concentrate and reduce yield or kill plants. Every month at feeding time, empty the bowls. This is easy to do. On the screen go to extras and keep looking until you find "Drain." It will walk you through the process. There is a tube included with the Farm. In the center of each bowl, there is a rubber cover. If you open it, you will see a nipple. Connect the hose to it and put the other end in a bucket. Start the pump in drain mode. It will empty the bowl. When empty, fill it with water and pump that water out. Fill it again and add food. It's a lot easier to do than write about. We are very happy with our new Farm 24XL. We are even happier with customer service. With something this expensive and new, it's important to have help available. Aerogarden provides excellent support. They will replace any pods that don't germinate. They will help you become a successful hydroponic farmer. Just remember to avoid the Chat and use the phone.

Great product and easy to use!
I read some of the reviews about this being difficult to assemble. It is not, it took 20-30 minutes from unboxing to done. Also folks complaining about it being hard to figure out how to lower and raise the lights. The panel has a built in FAQ.To raise and lower the lights you simply select the side you want left/right on the display and push the up or down arrow on the left side in yellow…These are pictures of my sprouts after 6 days.If i had any complaints at all it would be the choice of lettuce in their “salad bar” but that is personal preference.I bought the “grow anything” 50 pack and love it, i am also using this as a seed starter for my DWC setup and outside plantings.Overall awesome product and I will be buying another one soon!

I love my Harvest XL!
I absolutely love my AeroGarden Harvest XL! It's the perfect addition to my kitchen, allowing me to grow fresh herbs and vegetables all year round. The setup was incredibly easy, and the instructions were clear and concise. The system is also very low maintenance, with the built-in LED lights and self-watering system doing all the work for me.The plants grow quickly and are incredibly healthy, with no need for pesticides or herbicides. The variety of pods available to choose from is fantastic, and I love being able to customize my garden to fit my needs. The AeroGarden Harvest XL is also very sleek and stylish, and it fits perfectly on my countertop.Overall, I would highly recommend the AeroGarden Harvest XL to anyone who loves fresh herbs and vegetables but doesn't have the space or time for a traditional garden. It's truly a game-changer and has exceeded all of my expectations.

Beautiful and productive garden
This garden is expensive, but I wanted something nice looking for growing up in our living area and liked some of the higher tech features, so I sprung for it. One of the high-tech features, however, did not work in my new garden. The lights on one side do not lower and raise as they are supposed to. I posted a question here about how to get it fixed and instead of answering it, the seller told me to send the question of how to get it fixed through their website. Fair enough. I did so. So far, their first reply would indicate to me that they didn't even read my email and just assumed I didn't know what I was doing. This is doubly frustrating, since I am not the only one with this problem. They seem t have a quality control issue related to the light fixtures. They sent me instructions on how to operate the lights rather than acknowledging that I told them the product was defective. I am sending back another email today and will update my review based on their response. So far not happy. (See updated response below. Happy now)The good news is that, if it worked properly, I think I would really like it. Assembly had a few minor frustrations with screw holes not lining up properly, but I was able to get it together without too many issues. In general, documentation could be a lot better, but it can be figured out working through the problems. Because I had set everything up and planted it before attempting to lower the lights (which is both a natural progression and as indicated in their garden setup instructions), I left it setup while trying to get this problem solved. Nearly all the seeds germinated withing a few days and are growing. This is always a bit of a miracle to me and I love watching it. Hoping to get problem resolved without having to let my new little garden die.Update to above. Customer support promptly responded and sent me a new hood that now works properly. Yay! I updated my overall rating accordingly. They didn’t make me send back the previous one first, so my garden is still thriving. Thanks! I am really enjoying it and have harvested several fresh lettuce crops fairly quickly! Awesome!

Best brand and model for growing foods indoors
I have many hydroponic gardens to grow foods indoors - I like to try on different brands to see how their systems and see what they are best for.Aerogarden is hands down my favourite company. Their products are well designed, easy to use, good quality, and theya re well supported with accessory products (i.e., if you want to buy additional items like hole covers, you have many options). I also like the versatility of the product (you can purchase Aerogarden's seed pods, but you can also grow whatever seed you want - that you purchase at your garden centre), and the company has excellent customer care. To give you a sense of how much I love Aerogarden - I have over 20 gardens from them. The Aerogarden Farms are the largest models from Aerogarden. They have many holes to put plugs, but don't be fooled - you will only use some of them. If you use them all, your plants will be too squished, they will compete for light, and it increases the changes of bugs because they are too close to one another and there isn't enough air. So pick the plugs you want to use, cover the rest (you have to purchase additional hole covers), and grow your plants.Every plant grows super fast in an Aerogarden system. It's very simple. Take a plug. Put a seed in it. Set up the garden lights by following the very simple instructions on the screen (it asks you what type of plant you plan to grow to set the light on a good schedule, then asks you when you would like the lights to turn on to ensure it meets your need). Then after that, you add water whenever the machine tells you that it is running low. Depending on your plant and its growth cycle, since this is a large capacity graden, it means roughly once a week (maybe a little sooner). Then feed the plant with the liquid fertilizer every couple of weeks. The garden tells you when to do it. I purchase the Aerogarden liquid fertlizer. Although it is a bit more expensive than other brands, it's so siple to use since it is all contained in one bottle (every other brand uses two bottles you have to mix).Voila! You are done. All you need to do now is trim the growth, and pick the foods you want to eat. This Farm system is very versatile. I prefer the tallest one (this model) because i can grow ANYTHING in this, including tomatoes (as seen in the images). I put elastic bungees around the frame as support. You can purchase dedicated bungee cords from Aerogarden for more money.Farm systems are stackable - as portrayed here. But, you have to pucrhase the clamps, and these are hard to come by in Canada. I purchase them directly from Amazon.com and have them delivered here for a modest shipping fee.The lights are bright. I wouldn't put this in a bedroom! It will take quite a bit of electricity too. In the end, growing your own food is a fun hobby, and it lets you control what you eat (what gets put in your food, such as pesticides), but from a cost perspective, it isn't worth it. You have to do this because you love being an indoor micro-farmer.Clean up once the plants are done and it is time to grow another garden is super simple. Put the water reservoir in the sink. All the roots come off in a jiffy. Just use soap and water - or vinegar - to wipe everything down. It takes 10 min and is super easy to do.

Best, Large System for Growing Foods Indoors
The media could not be loaded. I own several brands of hydroponic gardens, and Aerogardens is my favourite brand. I own over 20 of their gardens. The reason i like Aerogarden is that the design is well thoughtout, the quality is excellent, the products are supported with lots of additional accessory products (from Aerogarden, as well as other no-name brands), and the customer support is excellent. The Farm gardens are the largest gardens. This 24XL is the largest of the largest models. It consists of two gardens (two 12XL gardens - note that if the 24XL is too large for you, you can also check out the 12XL garden instead). The two 12XL gardens function largesly independently - separate pumps and water reservoirs, and you can control the light schedule for the two gardens separately. The only odd omission to this system is that you can't have one garden going and shut off the other one - they both must operate. The gardens are fairly quiet. The pump turns on every 15 min or so and functions for 2 min or so. You don't hear the pump at all - what you hear is the water flowing. I find it quite soothing. It's like a gentle stream. See the attached video for an idea of the sound. (Note: other gardens have loud pump or water noise - this is probably the quietest of all systems). The lights are very strong. This is good for the plants, but it will also meant that you will not want to store this where the light can get directly in your eyes! As a result of this systems, the plants grow super fast. You can control the height of the lights with the onboard computer. This ensures that light shines directly on the seedling and they don't get leggy... Then as they grow, you can bring up the lights. This is one of the only system that allows this to take place. The lights do take quite a bit of electricity. All of the reviews I had read said that it takes little, but i definitely notice it on my electricity bill whenever I turn on the system. It isn't worth it compared to the cost of buying veggies at the supermarket, but I enjoy growing plants as a hobby, and I also enjoy knowing what pesticides and other supplements are added to my foods.Because of the way in which the system is designed, you can not only grow leafy vegetables like kale or lettuce, but also tall plants like beans, peas, and tomatoes (this later one is what's shown here). If you grow your plants indoors and plan to have fruits (peppers, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers - all of which I have grown in these systems), be sure to either purchase seed varieties that are self fertilizing, or else get ready to act as a bee/pollinator, and transfer pollen between flowers using a paintbrush. The system is stackable, so you can add another garden on top of this one. I would recommend stacking a Farm 24 (rather than another 24XL) if you have ceilings around 7-8 feet. Two Farm 24Xl won't fit! You will need to buy the dedicated clamp to secure them tightly.

Works as described.
It was missing the plant food, seed pods, and pod covers…. That was a bummer.

Product is good AeroGarden Customer service isn’t
The unit is really good but it was missing a part. There is supposed to be a drain hose for emptying and cleaning the water tank, this was missing. This came in an AeroGarden box so the missing part was obviously from the factory. When I contacted AeroGarden support they essentially said not our problem contact Amazon. I did contact Amazon and they would exchange it for a new one but that would be impractical. Amazon even offered me money to buy the missing part, Yayy Amazon. I’m extremely disappointed with AeroGarden and will really have to think hard before buying any of their products again.Update: changed to 5 stars, my email to AeroGarden received a reply from a different person. They are sending me a replacement for the missing part.

No customer support beyond warranty
Works great when it works. The light went out on one side. Aerogarden refuses to sell me the failed part or even a complete hood that I am willing to pay for. They keep spare parts for warranty replacements only. So they are telling me that the Farm 24 XL that I paid $1000 for should be thrown in the garbage and I should buy a new one.honestly has to be the worst customer service experience I've had in my life. They keep sending me the generic "out of warranty" email, even though I keep telling them I am not looking for warranty replacement. This company truly sucks and only cares about getting your initial money. Then you are on your own with an expensive paperweight once it fails even minimally.
