Fresh and very tasty.

I was surprised by the large size and wonderfully fresh, peppery smell of the peppercorns. I did not realize that there was a superior product to the grocery-store brands I had purchased for so many years and now I do!

If you are a pepper fan you will be very happy. The freshness and spice are exactly what you would hope for. Paired with a high quality pepper grinder, you can't go wrong.

These are my new favorite peppercorns. They are wonderfully flavorful and aromatic. They also seem to be a bit more potent than store bought pepper... I use far less pepper using these than I do with any other brand. The resealable storage pouch does a remarkable job keeping them fresh and protecting them from light. (According to Wikipedia, Pepper loses flavour and aroma through evaporation, so airtight storage helps preserve its spiciness longer. Pepper can also lose flavour when exposed to light, rendering it nearly tasteless. Once ground, pepper's aromatics can evaporate quickly; most culinary sources recommend grinding whole peppercorns immediately before use for this reason.)

I read the reviews that were bad. There were not many, but they said they found rocks and miss sized berries. Being the ever cautious, I dumped a pound of pepper on a sheet pan to inspect. That was a mistake because I dropped a couple of Tbls. on the floor and I had to throw them out. This pepper is so good I am going to miss those berries. (We have cats that use a litter box. There is no 5 sec. rule in this house!!) It was a waste of time and pepper. Nothing but quality pepper of the same size and no foreign matter. The only thing not great was they said I could get an e-book of recipes and I never got the link. I tried to go to the link to contact them but my computer said I was not the authorized account.Who knows it was probably my fault.

Great taste and color

All three of us "chefs" at my house love pepper. I was extremely happy to find this **organic** black pepper on Amazon ------ and at a great price/super value for the money.We won't be running out of pepper for our pepper mills any time soon. Hooray.

Love these peppercorns been using them for a year now with consistent quality through 4-5 orders. Be aware they run on the spicy side for black pepper and you may need a lot less pepper compared to peppercorns sourced elsewhere....
