Works ok as compass but little help as a sat finder. A free app on my phone - found subsequently - worked much better. I found it a waste of money….

No problem with the device and easy to use in finding the satellite signals.It can be a bit frustrating in finding the signals if not sure which direction the compass if in interference near ferrous metals and with this device no problem. Controls are easy as long you get the hang on with it.As regards to on/off switch as reported in past reviews, of course there is no switch.When not in use the device will be in clock mode and in low battery consumption the same like other LED clocks. Simply put in new batteries at the start of caravan/motorhome season and remove them before going to winter storage.

Ordered the satellite finder after a recent camping trip and unfortunately the compass bezel was detached, contacted seller and a replacement was not only sent super quickly but also received an apology telephone call! Fantastic service wish more were like it.

Can't say much about the accuracy of this product as I have no other for a reference. It seems easy to use, but it does not seem to be possible to switch it off (bar taking the batteries out). I asked the manufacturer this questions ages ago, but no reply. So, the jury is still out - caution!!!

The digital dial on this compass is way to faint to be read easily. In sunlight, it cannot be read at all! Please do not buy this item. I thought that spending more than £40 would get me a good product. It did not. I had to get rid of it and buy a much cheaper make and model which worked perfectly for setting up my satellite dish.

The compass operation is fiddly and needs calibration before each use (we have a motorcaravan so this must be done outside where you look a twerp standing and slowly rotating twice). We really just use it as an unusual and expensive clock.

je n'ai jamais pu utiliser cet article. Après avoir mis les piles, j'ai fait plusieurs calibrages et j'ai pu constater des écarts importants avec mes boussoles et compas "manuels". J'ai quand même emporté le Maxview au Maroc où je participais à une course d'orientation. Arrivée sur place, oh surprise, l'écran digital n'affichait plus rien sur les 3/4. Heureusement que j'ai pu compter sur mes boussoles et compas traditionnels ! Je vais le renvoyer.

Ein gutes Tool zum einstellen von Satellitenschüssel .Das beste was ich bis dato hatte.Der Kompass gibt die Richtung vor in der die einzelne Satelliten zufinden sind.Es ist ratsam genau nach Beschreibung zu suchen,

Funktioniert praktisch überhaupt nicht, findet keinen Satelliten und ist schwer handhabbar. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen, Geldverschwendung ! Jas soll das
