Esthetically pleasing
These are nice, heavy plastic pots that are both attractive and functional. The water well allows you to leave your plant unattended for a while, though you probably will want to experiment in order to learn the limitations. (My plant could handle about a week.)

Nice large watering tray.
I am happy with the planters. They are quite large and worked perfectly for transplanting some plants that had outgrown their old pots. I found two short ropes with the order and didn't notice the instruction part about the rope. I decided they must be to keep the pots from sticking together. Duh!! After transplanting and putting the ropes in a draw in case I found use for them, I couldn't see how they could call the pots self-watering. I pulled the directions out again seeing that I missed putting the rope through the holes to wick the water BEFORE transplanting was the self-watering trick. Yup...I had to re-transplant. Now that the wicks are in place, it is working perfectly. Sometimes I just get ahead of myself and must begin again!

Smaller than you’d think
So it’s 12 inches wide not height which is misleading. The picture then shows that the pot is 9inches tall which is true IF you have the bottom on otherwise the plant spot is really under 8 inches. It ended up working for me but the dimensions could be less misleading

Great planter!
These planters are good for my taller plants as they are deeper than some of the others I have used in the past. The color is nice to showcase the foliage of my tropical plants. These planters are also easy to set up and are great quality for the price!

Great self watering pot
So far I have not drown or put the plants (Christmas Cactus) in a super arid condition.

Deceiving Picture
The height includes the bottom irrigation portion of the pot so the pot depth is only 7 1/2 inches, making this a pretty squatty pot, not particularly good when looking for 12 inch pot. Comes well wrapped w a protective piece for the rim. Nice looking, too.

Not deep enough for a large plant
This 12” diameter pot is beautiful for sure however is not deep enough for any plant that requires a 12” pot! Should be about 4” deeper so the plant would not just fall over.Sadly returned it.
