Great to use when power goes out or when you are out and need power

I have many Dewalt 20V Tools and about a dozen batteres, so I bought a Dewalt 20V battery powered heater that uses a gas grill propane bottle and that saved us a few years ago when we were down around 10 degrees for many days. Then I decided to buy a 20V fan which saved us last summer when our electricity went out on those above 100 degrees days. At least we had some air on us and it made life bearable. The only thing we missed both times was a way to power a TV to keep in touch with local TV news stations. I looked at some 12V TVs but they are very expensive. So, I decided to try this device. It is supposed to give you 1.6 amps of power. I was worried that it would not be stable enough for a TV and might damage it. With a 6AH 20V battery it powered a 32" Visio TV for 2.5 hours with on problems. A 5AH battery only powered it for 1.75 hours. The 5AH battery was older so that might be some of the reasoning being the shorter than expected time. It did power the TV without problems. The TV took .5AH to operate and the inverter device has to use some power to operate.I plugged in a 12" floor fan and it powered it fine and then I tried a larger fan with a more powerful motor and it did run but when the fan was turned to its highest speed it did not turn at full speed. I did not test how long it would run the fans.The only thing to watch out for is that the socket will take many types of plugs and therefore when you plug in a device without a ground the device can be plugged in both ways. I understand that it is not good for sensitive electronics to be plugged in backwards, so I labeled the socket.I would definitely recommend the attachment but don't buy it and expect it to power some large electric device requiring a large amount of amps. I am ordering a second one.

I used this item to charge my phone and it burnt out within a few seconds. To not buy!!!

I used this only a couple of times but it works like a charm. It drains my Milwaukee battery at a faster pace but the convenience more than justifies it.

It worked great for what I purchased it for when camping. Simple to use, perfect size, takes up so little spaceI use it to run my camper tv when camping and with a 6ah battery, it runs my tv almost 3 hours
