I can finally play tennis without pain!
These New Balance Women's FuelCell 996 V5 Tennis Shoes changed my life! I can finally play tennis again after enduring years of pain in shoes that didn't fit. I have very difficult feet, with bunions and other toe problems, high arches, and narrow heals. These shoes come in very wide sizes, with a roomy toe box and enough room for orthotics. They are very well cushioned around the ankle, and under foot. I feel confident moving on the court, shifting position quickly, whether on hard court or clay. I should probably buy a spare pair just in case.

Great Cushioning
Update sept 1. I’ve had these shoes 3 months and the soul on both shoes is worn smooth. So I would say for an all court shoe, these are not the best choice. I do not play every day, so I am surprised they’ve worn so quickly. Yes, they fit perfectly, no breaking. But for the cost I would say this is not your best buy.. Toebox is Roomy but not loose. Heel is secure. Great cushioning from heel to toe. These are great for Pickleball, as well as Tennis. Played 4 hours and no hotspots. I normally take a size 7 in women’s and these are perfect. Lightweight, but a solid, supportive, athletic shoe. I ordered them in green and the color is awesome with the contrasting purple heel. These will be my new go to Pickleball shoes! I can honestly recommend them since they sold more out, so quickly.

Lightweight and flexible but foot slides forward a LOT
I'm editing this review down to a 3-star after wearing these for a couple of months. I really don't know what they're talking about in terms of propulsion with these. They feel stable and connected to the court but very flat in that there's not much cushion or springy feel. They feel less reactive than other shoes I"ve worn.My big complaint now that I've worn them for a bit is that my feet slide forward a LOT. Today it happened during a hard sprint to the net and my toes hurt for the rest of the clinic. I use my own higher arch insoles and even with those It's problematic enough that I will likely not wear these again if I know it's going to be a certain type of play.Other pairs I've had feel too bulky at the top when the foot bends and these don't have this problem, so that's good.If you're doing a lot of running on the court, I'd just recommend another pair to save your poor toes.

Feels great/wide enough
Very comfortable and lightweight tennis sneaker. Great for people who like softness around toe joints but still have tennis sole support

Perfect for Wide Feet
Love these, I had a wide foot and these are perfect. They are very comfortable. My plan was to keep them for pickleball only but they are so comfortable I wear them all the time.

True fit
The best thing about these shoes is that I was able to put them on right out of the box and start playing pickle ball. They are pretty true to size but I have a wide foot and did order mine in a wide. I have bunions on both my feet from working all these years In heels. I must tell you these new balance were very easy on my feet and that hard for me to find. I think if your looking for a court shoe you’ll love these.
