Clairol Colour Crave Semi Permanent Hair Dye Orchid 60ml

It was good and all but I think if your willing to buy this with brown hair, or dark brown hair, buy 3 or 2 because I made the mistake of buying just one and then after 1 wash most of it was gone, even on the day after you could barely see it but in the sun it was a bit better.

Bought this for my daughter who wanted two purple streaks at the front of her hair. She has mid to dark hair but this dye came out super dark purple and you can only see that it's purple in the right light. Daughter is disappointed, but at this price, I don't mind paying for the life lesson as now she understands that if you want bright vibrant colour, you have to bleach it first.Other than that, is really easy to use and it was delivered really quickly.

The gloves that come with this dye are amazing. They are rubber and durable and let me control the dye great! I have washed them and stored them for future use. The pack comes with two pairs of gloves, instructions, the dye and a brush. I mixed the dye with a little conditioner and applied to the ends of my hair. The dye was very lilac after the initial wash and after the second wash the ends of my hair are very faintly purple. I think the pure dye would be very dark on my blonde hair so diluting it with conditioner is essential. But there is lots of dye in the tube so it will last me ages!

Used this on my teenage daughters naturally blonde, never dyed before hair. The colour samples on the box worried us a bit as they were considerably more vibrant than the main picture on the box! Because of this we initially only used half the hair dye mixed with conditioner and left for half the processing time which gave a very, very pale result! We went back and used the rest of the dye without mixing it and left it the recommended 20 minutes and the results were as in the photo. A nice, subtle colour. Not sure how long this will last given how pale it is but this was the result we were hoping for either way!

Really easy to use but washed out of my hair within 3 washes however it gives a lovely colour and shine when it’s there. Great gloves and brush in each kit which is a bonus.

My daughter wanted to try purple hair but she is brunette and I knew that was difficult. I did not want any permanent effect ( not from purple but neither from bleach) so I tried this one, that btw it's cheap do even if it's fails it's not a big deal! When the colour arrived also the ash blonde daughter wanted to try, so I've done the ombre effect on the brunette and highlights on the blonde. I've shared the box on both on them. Kept on for 30 minThe colour is quite blue, but most of the blue pigments go away with the rinse. On the brunette the effect is a maroon/plum light ombre effect. On the ash blonde the results is purple/lavander shadows. I did not have great expectations so 3 stars are deserved!

I've tried the blue, purple and the flamingo pink all on bleached hair. My hair was yellow, so I first dyed it pink on top and purple on the ends of the hair knowing that worst case scenario, the pink would look coral.It's a very vibrant pink though and looked great, as did the purple, but the purple is definitely weaker and washes out faster than the pink. So then I tossed blue and more purple over it, thinking it would go violet, but it mostly went indigo despite the underlying pink. Still looked great though, but the blue also washes out far too quickly, so I threw yet more pink on all over and I'm now gutted it's only semi permanent because this is a look. I am obsessed with my hair right now, and just how vivid the colours are. I'll likely be doing this again.

I love this colour - Orchid. I have tried other colours but this is my favourite. I wash my hair most days and it fades to a pale lilac shade after about 2 weeks.I have had many compliments about the colour. I am 75 - you're never too old!
