Ferplast Nippy Pooper Scoop

I bought this last year when I got my first dog. I tried many scoopers and they were either too little too big or too ineffective or clumsy to use. I was so relieved to find this. Especially as a first time dog owner being especially squeamish about picking up poop. It's been over a year since I started using this when out on walks and the handle has just snapped so I'm here to order another one. It's brilliant. I don't mind that the handle snapped, I might have been using it incorrectly when that happened but regardless I think it's still a great product and good value. Last time I bought this it came with dog poop bags which are the best I've ever used. They are easy to open and big and a good fit for the scoop and have tie handles. Have ordered a new scoop, hope the bags come with again.

This is very useful for taking my Westie for walks. I have bought two, one for the bag in car and one for my general walks around the block bag! The bags that come with it are not very strong and see through, hence only 4 stars, but I have purchased some biodegradable ones on Amazon, which are a lot stronger and green coloured so you cannot see through to the contents! I think they are called 'doggy dirt bags' and they work very well with this 'nippy pooper scoop'. Not sure whether it would work for anything bigger than a Westie's doo doos though! But even my husband can use this and he wasn't keen on picking up the mess!

Great idea for a carry around pooper scooper. I have used it a few times but find it doesn't do a "great job". I think it does a job. Perhaps with a smaller dog who produces less waste it may be great. However with my 22 kg lab pointer cross it's scoop is too small and I have to keep going back in to collect more and that's where is gets messy. I certainly wouldn't use it for the garden, I have a large one for that bit to keep in the pocket for a smaller dog I would recommend it if you really don't like using hand in a bag (I don't! ) otherwise I'd think twice. The quality is ok. Little bit rickety after a few uses but it's sturdy enough to appear like it will last .

My first one (bought in a shop) broke after 6 month's of use. Then I ordered online a new one which also broke after about the same time. I now ordered three of them in one order which is cheaper. Now you wonder why is she buying them still. Well I never had a scoop which is so nice to use as this one. Handy in your pocket and keeps your hands clean especially when you have got long nails. I gave it three stars because they don't last for long. BTW I've got a Springer Spaniël.

Excellent , sturdy item, this is the second we have owned . The original one got broken by someone who was looking after our dog, it had lasted well over a year and no doubt would still be going strong had someone not misused it. We've found that the blue plastic 'pincer' type scoops don't last ; they invariably break in half eventually. This is a much better design and should last a while

I'm on my second one of these, the catch on the flip over handle snaps a little too easy, thus stopping the sides from staying fully extended and so I had to buy a new one. But the fact that I bought a replacement should show how good this little tool is. I cannot pick up the dog mess without it and so it is essential for me. It could just do with being a little tougher

I bought one of these very handy pooper scoops but it broke very easily so i got a refund and bought another. The same thing happened - it really would be a great product if it was a bit more sturdy. However, it is so flimsy I couldn't recommend it to anyone...

So handy to carry in bag or pocket. Easy to use and good quality. Well worth the money if you can't face picking up your dogs poop!
