The proliferation of these USB-C direct charge batteries is of real benefit. I much prefer L-Series mount over V Mount as their smaller size allows you to select just the exact amount of power you need for a shoot. So whether your session is an hour or all day you can have the appropriate number of batteries on hand. The fact that you can recharge these directly via USB-C makes this workflow easier. I use these with various sleds to obtain power via D-Tap, USB (A&C), and DC (round) to a variety of devices. This way I keep the weight of what I need to carry with me to a minimum. These Viltrox batteries work perfectly with any of the rigs I tested them with. The only knock on these is "Why White" I would have preferred grey or any other darker color over white. I think these will get "dirty-looking" quickly. No reason to knock any rating points for this poor aesthetic decision.

It takes a confident company to make a white replacement battery, especially when most of the gear you attach it to is black. And I think this is going to be a good one. (And this handsome white battery may become the wedding photographer's new favorite.)The batteries come nicely packaged, and the built-in USB-C input and accompanying USB-A to USB-C cables means you don't need a battery charger to recharge them. Just plug them into the wall through their suppled cable and LED lights on the back show roughly how much power you have. (It would have been nice if the charger cable for this two-pack had ben a Y-cable that terminated with both a USB to USB-C jack, so you could charge both batteries with one AC adapter, but you can't have everything, I guess.)There is also an AC power supply "wall wart" with two inputs--the old USB-A and the new USB-C. So maybe there is a way to charge both batteries at once?The batteries look well made and seem to offer a good charge. I can't speak to their longevity, but I hope they give me years of good service.(By the way, Amazon, despite the spelling in your listing, the manufacturer's actual name is Viltrox. (with a "T" ).
