SKS Velo 700C Mudguard Set, Black, 47/55/65 mm

I got the 47mm version for fitting to my utility bike, an old Dawes hybrid. I decided to try without stays and see how I got on. Front and back were fitted in about 25 minutes without having to remove wheels or even the rear carrier rack. They fit well with decent clearance on 35mm tyres. The rear of the front guard moves laterally a little, but not enough to warrant the addition of stays. The rear of the rear guard moves laterally a bit more, but using cable ties, I've tethered it to the rear rack to hold it firm. (Had the rack not been present, I would probably have bought the stays). Spray pattern coverage is pretty good - reasonably dry feet, front mech not too bad, but bottom bracket remains fairly cruddy. At the rear, my Cycliq seatpost camera/light now stays clear in all weathers and my back and bumbag remain considerably drier than before. The click system to attach the blades to the metal fixing bracket is very strong - I can't imagine removing them by this method, but removing by unbolting the single fixing bolt would be straightforward. In summary, solidly made kit, functions very well and I should have bought some years ago. Recommended.

These are good. I have a nice, light Cyclocross bike which I love to ride without mudguards but on wet days or muddy conditions you need the protection of mudguards. Those duck-tail clip-ons are pretty hopeless at protecting you from the elements, but these give me 95% of the protection I'd get from full permanent guards. Best thing is that they are so easy to put on and take-off so I only have them on the bike when necessary. They don't wobble around so had no need to buy the stays. I did need to trim the guards slightly to get them to fit between the front forks, bit this was pretty straightforward. I also needed several washers where the front mount bolts to the crown of the front fork - my fixing hole was recessed and the surround was too small for the bracket to sit correctly.

Easy to fit and great looking

The rear mudguard fitted on really easily, but the front one required me to cut a little bit of plastic our of each side to fit the frame properly, but once on, they have worked perfectly.And I mainly use the bike off road...Would buy again.

The product is good and seems to work well but it was annoying that I had to order the metal stays and then the Suntour fork adapters separately! So took much longer to get them actually fitted on the bike!

As you can see in the photos these don't guard against mud splashes at all, the back light and the bag that sits behind the seat are both muddy, would not recommend.

These mudguards appear to be well-made and were easy to fit, although I have not ridden the bike since fitting them so only time will tell how durable they are. They came with lots of different bolts, brackets, etc to enable them to be fitted to a variety of bikes. Instructions could have been better - they were limited to a few vague diagrams.

Product is worth the money. Doesn’t feel cheap at all. Proper fit.

Ich habe die Schutzbleche an meinem alten 28" Hercules Trekkingrad mit 42-622 Reifen verbaut. Die Montage funktioniert problemlos sofern die entsprechenden Gewinde oder Bohrungen am Rad vorhanden sind. Es werden mehrere verschiedene Schrauben mitgeliefert um eine Kompatibilität mit möglichst vielen Fahrrädern sicherzustellen. Die Materialien fühlen sich hochwertig an und die Kanten sind alle entgratet womit eine Verletzungsgefahr ausgeschlossen ist.Die Blechwinkel zum Anbringen der Schutzbleche sind auch sehr gut verarbeitet und leicht zu montieren. Sie passen bei meinen 28"-Rädern perfekt. Die Schutzbleche sind dank der Steckvorrichtung ohne Werkzeug (de-)montierbar. Wer also bei trockenem Wetter lieber ohne Schutzbleche fährt kann diese sehr schnell und einfach vor der Fahrt entfernen oder anbringen.Die Schutzwirkung bei nasser Fahrbahn ist sehr gut. Auch hier gibt es wirklich nichts zu meckern.Fazit: Gute Qualität zum erschwinglichen Preis.

Overall looks like a great unit. I couldn’t install it to my Triban bicycle for a couple of reasons:- The bolts included in the package are not long enough for my fork. Need yet another bolt 1-2 cm longer than the longest in the package- The rear mudguard is a little too wide for my frame. This also requires a little tweak, no drama

I purchased these fenders for two carbon-frame gravel bikes I just finished assembling. They accommodate the width of my tires--just under 1.75 inches. They are advertised as 47mm wide. They actually measure 46.5 (1.83 in) in width. I don't believe it is the fault of the manufacturer, but installing these is not for the novice. For the rear fender, I ended up ordering a P-style fuel clamp to mount the fender at the area caliper style brakes would mount then cut off the molded clamp that is at the end of the fender and drilled holes in the fender for a zip-tie to mount it where it attaches to the frame. For the front fender, I just needed longer bolts to reach through the top of the front fork area. Bike fenders are not "one size fits all" so as long as you are willing to do your homework and fuss a little these are a good solid purchase--lightweight, sturdy yet flexible, and reasonably adaptable as long as you select the correct fender for your tire width.
