What the Wicket.
So, my mother bought this, as mothers do for their 15 year old sons, and when it arrived, I was stunned by the sheer quality of this. The rising prices of everything due to inflation, made me think that this would be perhaps of the highest quality, but also of the highest price. No, I was wrong, it was high quality for a low price, ABSOLUTELY ELITE. As my mom is now oldish, she cannot read that well, and probably didn't see this was made for 10 to 13 year olds that have to be absolute MIDGETS to even reach the bat to the ground. I tried using the wickets, but they were as tall as my thigh, literally so short I could jump over it. Wickets were terrible, but the bales, bat, and ball were all great. 10/10.

Don't play with Leather Balls
Perfect bat to play with family, perfect size for both kids and adults. Had it for over 2 years now. The grip will have to be replaced as it wears with use. Played with Tennis balls and I don't see any sign of it breaking or cracking. If you play with hard leather balls, it will break. That's why it says on the bat, For use with provided ball only which is a tennis ball

Handle broke a week into use.
The handle broke a week into use and my son (6 yrs) doesn’t even play that much cricket. At first I thought it was just a lighter bat but guess not.

Poor quality
Really poor quality bat., No polish, after 1 day of playing, the wood has started to chip on the sides, and at the bottom. Very cheap quality. Disappointed

Reasonable quality
A real wood set thats good as a starter. Good quality and the ball is a good weight. Suitable for 5-10 years age.

It works
Really cheap wood and now well finished but i guess you get what you pay for a cheap addition would be a block with holes in for the stumps so they could be set on concrete.

Difficult to find Size 1 cricket set in Wood
The smallest introductory cricket sets, size 1, are usually in plastic and are toy-like. They are difficult to find in wood. This set is made from wood and suitable for five to eight year olds as an introduction to the game. The bat is a bit big for the average four year old. The fact it is made by Gunn and Moore perhaps gives it authenticity. Ball is soft and unlikely be dangerous to young players and wickets and bails of good size. At first appraisal - 5*
