Carhartt Men's Loose Fit Firm Duck Insulated Flannel-Lined Active Jacket

This jacket is just a little loose, but that shouldaccommodate winter clothes that much better.I didn't notice in the ad that it is #3 warmest.Being in the south that really is not necessary,but I'm going to keep it!

This jacket is warm!! One of these should keep you warm maybe with a t shirt. It is rough and stiff but I’m sure after a few washes or use it will get soft

I’ve used carhartt products for many years they are tough and great value . I use the heavy duty jacket and the medium duty hoodie that’s more like a tough industrial strength regular jersey hoodie . This last time though I ordered a hoodie that more along the material used in the heavy duty jacket .what I don’t like is that material is just so stiff it hinders movement. I wished the material was softer and more flexible.

It is exactly the quality you’d expect….that’s why I bought it.

I like carhartt jackets, I like all carhartt products, they are good for working in the eliminates, I highly recommend you try them out. I have used there products for many years and in some cold areas, north western United States in 60 below zero and kept me warm through several winters

This coat has kept me warm working outdoors in below zero temperatures.

I needed a nice, heavy winter jacket for the cold and windy coastal Santa Cruz weather after moving to college, so I wanted something that would keep me warm but also look cute. This jacket is exactly what I wanted. I get compliments almost every time I wear it and now all my friends want one!Pricing:I don’t usually spend more than $30 on clothing, but I really wanted this jacket, so I decided to splurge a little. Plus, Carhartt is a reliable brand, so I know it will last me a very long time. I looked into a few other brands (Dickies, Patagonia, etc.), but I felt that Carhartt was a better fit for what I was looking for. I considered getting a jacket from Dickies ($139.99) that was close to identical, but I decided to go with Carhartt ($109) because not only was it more cost-efficient, but it seemed warmer and more stylish as well.Pros:The jacket is nice and warm without being too heavy and goes with almost any outfit. I also love that Carhartt tends to look even better with a little wear and tear over time, unlike some other brands. This way I don’t have to treat it like a new pair of white shoes and be worried about getting a little scuff or dirt on it. It is extremely durable, so if that’s what you’re looking for, look no further!Potential Cons:You should be aware that when you first get the jacket it may feel bulky and tough, but it is easy to break in. I washed it a couple of times according to the instructions on the tag and it is much better now. It was a bit big on me (as I was expecting), so I threw it in the dryer after I washed it and it did shrink a little bit, but definitely not too much. For reference, I am 5’2 and 110 lbs and I got the mens small. It is still a little big on me even after shrinking it, but that’s exactly what I was aiming for. The zipper can be a little sticky at times, but it hasn’t been a big issue for me so far. One thing you should know is that it is not waterproof or water-resistant. I wore it in the rain once and the water soaked right through the outer shell. Still not a problem for me though! Just thought I’d mention it.Overall:Overall it's an amazing jacket and is one of my favorite clothing items that I own. I don’t know how I went all this time without it! High quality, plenty of pockets, comfy, warm and stylish. I definitely recommend getting this jacket!

This is the legendary J140 Active Jacket, made in the US from imported parts. It's a superb jacket, very well made and warm.A couple of points to note - this is not the same as the Active Jacket sold from the official Carhartt store here in the UK.That version is slightly different to this J140 - compared to the UK store version, this does not have -3M Thinsulate lining, so less bulky than the J140Hidden rib knit cuffs with cordura reinforced sleeveThe hand pockets are not linedThe hood drawstrings are external instead of internalWashed duck instead of firm duck which is unwashed so is more stiff when new.If you like what Carhartt have done with the update,then buy the newer version, if you prefer the OG, then this is for you. I wanted the OG so purchased this over the newer version.

The first one i bought i had to return because the zipper kept getting snagged on the way down and the hood was too short, so i bought a second one to see if there was a difference and the second was perfect, the hood was tall enough to fit my somewhat long neck and the zipper opened and closed smoothly. I don't know if this was a newer manufacturing run or an update to overall design but i am very happy with the fit and quality of the second jacket i ordered!

I have owned Carhartt apparel over the years, it is of decent quality for work ware and was always reasonably priced. I have since discovered Carhartt work ware is becoming trendy with posers and hipsters and this has created a huge retail price increase in the marketplace. The item I purchased was a gift for a relative (a must have item). Quality is ok; fits to the large size. At current Carhartt prices choose a cheaper option if the brand name is not important to you. Carhartt stuff is ok but there is a lot of good quality work ware out there with a better price point; after all its work ware! If you are not wearing it for a fashion statement you will destroy it on the job site!

Actual colour when received is not even close to the Amazon images, pretty funny.Doesn’t note that it is ‘loose fit’ anywhere in description, until after ordered.In any case, jacket was cheap at more than 60% off RRP elsewhere or the normal Amazon AU price….so whatever. Warm & feels well made.

Well - it was an awesome jacket for my son... Warm enough... Bright enough... He loved the color... Made it easy to find him if he got lost in a store... He very much loved his Christmas present... However someone needed it more than my disabled autistic adult son where they stole it... Pile of jackets & his was the only one taken... Oh well... Hope I can afford to get another one in due time...
