Raulin: Rise of the Forest King (The Keeper Chronicles)

Classic fantasy. I "happened" across this and actually read it prior to the first book he wrote. I'm told this is the prequel. I'm excited to read the next book. I love good fantasy and Christian fantasy is my "particular" favorite. This has it all revenge, love (but not romantic - I'm guessing that will come in another book), sword-fighting, torture, a quest, and more. If you know fantasy and like well-written fantasy, this is for you.I'm not familiar with the author, but he will become one of my favorites I'm sure. Keep writing Benjamin J. Denen!!!

I absolutely LOVED The Keeper of Edelyndia (The Keeper Chronicles Book 1), and I very much enjoyed this one except that it was a bit gory for my taste. The author develops the character of Raulin well, and it's a great supplement to his character in The Keeper of Edelyndia. Overall, I recommend the book.

Though this is a prequel, and I did indeed read The Keeper of Edelyndia first, I actually preferred it that way. Over the past 15 years I've almost exclusively read Christian Fiction and lately Christian fantasy. For me it is a great escape. I appreciated the author's restraint in not using this genre as a disguise for another romance novel. The books were genuinely interesting, very visual, just the right amount of characters to understand where you are in the story line with good character development. Good vs evil but not too predictable. I thoroughly enjoyed both books in the series. When is the next one coming out? I'm ready!

I read this book in a couple of days which is rare for me. I work long hrs and am quite busy but from the opening page this book hooked my attention and would not let go. I highly recommend this well written story.

I really liked this tale but read it second to the keeper of Edaelyndia but I just say this one is better. At least you aren't being hit over the head with a Bible throughout the book. Well done.

this was an excellent read with enough content and writing style to always keep me in the book. So many timesbooks of this kind are predictable and can be drawn out. This was neither.

Should I even be surprised anymore? Denen has created a universe that is so easily to lose yourself in. I loved the Keeper of Edelyndia, but Raulin has stolen my heart as my new favorite in Denen's collection. I strongly encourage anyone to read Raulin!

Loved this book...can't wait to start the next book in the series. The author's style of writing draws you in, and keeps you engaged with the characters, and storyline...what an adventure!
