After ordering, I read the reviews and tried to cancel - but glad it was too late. Shipping was lightning fast! For the money, this winch is really not bad. Other reviews knocked the remotes and relay.. based on other Chinese winches I have owned this one is similar or better. You need to press and hold the remote power button for 3 seconds for it to turn on - which is not intuitive. I realized that after actually reading the manual! There was a complaint that the relay was not sealed - but all ATV winch relays have exposed terminals. There were not however rubber boots to cover the relay connections so I reused my old ones. Winch installed rather easily on my Hisun Sector 550 and functioned as expected. Have not yet put it to the test yet in regard to pulling anything though

The winch itself is good and easy to setup. I put it on a hitch mount and ran it a few times. The disappointment came with the failure of the wireless remotes. The wireless remotes never worked, even after replacing the batteries. Recommend you just buy the winch without the wireless and save a few bucks.

Loud and the first load I put on it the unit was shorting out inside sparking off the cable to the front rollers and could barley pull 600 lbs wouldnt put this on squat

The winch was received with NO SEALED SOLENOID and the wired remote is just a small box. NOW WE HAVE WIRES EXPOSED. The sealed solenoid is the reason we ordered this.

A hefty piece of equipment, all metal except for the strap between the cable and hook, self-contained, compact and very heavy and comes with almost all you'll need to secure it.We bought a winch years back, wasn't anywhere near as heavy duty as this but did the job, it came with a mounting plate but one was not part of this package, if you don't have one, that is something to consider in your budget.- The device is easy to operate and needs to be connected to a battery, we tried it with a car battery which works flawlessly but there are better options available like large power banks that have an enclosure.- The large clutch secures the cable and allows you to pull the wire out manually, i don't touch this, i prefer to K.I.S.S, that way, nothing can go wrong when pulling heavy items.- The hook is chunky, a good solid piece of metal. Once latched onto something, it wont let go.- The cable doesn't feel flexible but stretches when in use, how much depends on the weight of item, my old winch wasn't as flexible, the cable on this one appears to have less strain on heavier items, it certainly feels safer.- The cable extracts and retracts smoothly, controlled by one of 3 remotes. There wasn't any snagging or glitches. The cotton extension appears to take some strain off the inflexible cable, making the cable more flexible while in use.- The two wireless remote controls are plastic and rubber but durable, they connect to the winch seamlessly.The rubber buttons on the remotes need to be pressed down for a couple of seconds to turn it on and off, the IN and OUT buttons that release and rewind the cable are the same. There were no glitches or cutting out or interreference from other wireless devices.The only complaint i have is the lack of USB Type-C to recharge the remotes, its such a basic common feature on modern products that i feel it should have them and i have to be honest, i don't know how they are recharged, there are screws on the rear but i am not about to start taking things a part for safety reasons. They sell these remotes separately so they could release wireless remotes with USB Type-C charging.- The winch also comes with a wired remote that plugs into the side of the winch, while the wireless remotes give more freedom, the joystick style wired remote feels more organic.- The winch is loud, outside its not too bad but indoors where sound is more contained, i would recommend protective ear equipment to prevent any damage for long term use. The motor sounds clear, by that i mean no clicking or knocking or rattling, my old one sounds like it was revving, this one, this one is a big improvement.- The instructions are fine, its a fairly simple device that does one thing exceptionally well.They do say that its not for commercial usage but neither are kettles in a coffee shop and people use them, i ordered this for personal reasons but something to consider if you were to buy this to pull heavy items where someone is paid for their labour.

I just wanted a small winch to assist me moving a four wheeled trailer. The Stealth 355TA12 with synthetic rope looked ideal and at a good price. Next day delivery with Prime, thank you. Unboxed and assembled in a matter of minutes. The packaging was good, the quality of the winch appears excellent.Connected to 12 volt battery pulled the rope out a few metres using the slipping clutch and with the wired controller powered the rope in and out. Used the wireless controller after pressing and holding the central button until the red light came on, again powered in and out OK. After reading some of the reviews before purchasing I was concerned about the noise level under power, I was pleasantly surprised how quiet the winch was.Would I recommend this winch, YESAll my tests have been carried out under no load conditions, but I have no reservations that this winch will operate exactly the same under load. Manual may need a bit more work, but using common sense this senior citizen had no problems, thank you.
