New Metro DesignXL-MAX Metal Beater Blade, works with KitchenAid 5+, 6, 7, 8-Quart Stand Mixers, Black

This beater blade is the BEST attachment for my mixer I’ve ever had! It mixes batters, cookie dough, sauces, etc. so smoothly and I never need to scrape the bowl. I make a lot of cheesecakes and this tool has been a game changer in achieving creamy, silky smooth batters! It fits my mixer perfectly, is made very well, sturdy, and works like a dream!

I am not a fan of KA's own bowl lift version of the FE beater, which is open in the middle. It allows thicker mixes to bunch up. With the New Metro FE Beater Blade, this isn't an issue. It works great and does the job scraping the side of the larger bowls. I use this beater more than the basic beater that came with my KA mixer. It's solid and effective at doing what it's design to do. It's all metal, not plastic. Though I prefer to purchase KA-made attachments and accessories, New Metro has made several products which I would recommend for KA stand mixer owners to consider. This FE beater is one, along with the Comfy Grip handle for the bowl lift lever. NM now makes a metal FE beater for tilt-head models, of which I recently purchase. They are a good, reputable company I trust to use with my KitchenAid mixers.

I'm super pleased with this paddle for my KitchenAid. I had one from another brand that I really liked that broke and found out it was discontinued when I went to replace it. I tried several others that were just not great for various reasons. This one scrapes the whole bowl and mixes thoroughly. It also doesn't seem to push everything up and turn a ring off unmixed things just above the paddle like some of the others did. I wish it was dishwasher safe, but otherwise this is wonderful and sturdy and hopefully will last a long time.

Have been using this for about 10 months now. It works exactly as advertised, cleanly scraping the bowl as it mixes. I have the 5.5qt bowl lift mixer. I have run it through the dishwasher most of the time after using it and it is wearing well. It is a bit on the expensive side, but I think it is worth it. If this one were to start having any issues, I would not hesitate to get another one.

I have a 5-quart Kitchen Aid, and was happy to see this would fit. I received it only to find it doesn’t fit at all. Such a disappointment because it feels like a quality product (and certainly has the price). I’m sending it back.

Honestly just buy this for your mixer so it works the way you imagine it should. This upgrade for the beater is crazy! Giving professional results and cutting your mixing time in half, since scraping the sides or pushing the ingredients that got caught in the hole in the middle of the paddle into the bowl.It just works.
