They look great! But the butt cushion could be softer. It’s a bit too firm for me. Then again I have back issues. A normal person would probably say they are comfortable. Looks great with my dining table though! I get lots of compliments!

First lets talk about these bar stools. I have 3 kids and just remodeled my kitchen. I picked these stools because they looked comfy, clean and easy to clean. Here are the reasons why I love them.1. They clean up good - The seat wipes down and the dust, spills and food are easy to wipe off. They also don't have a lot of bars to wipe off.2. They don't scratch my new floors. They have sliders on the bottom so they don't scratch my floors and they are easy to move to sweep under. They are light weight as well and so it makes it easy to clean around them.3. They are comfortable. - The padded seat and back support are soft and much better than the metal or wood alternatives. I also like the cross bar on the bottom to rest my feet.4. The height - They don't block the view! I hated that all the other back supported stools blocked the view of my new kitchen. The tops of these stools are near even with my counter top. When I sit on them my knees don't hit the underside of the counter. They are a perfect fit.Assembly :The assembly was pretty simple. The instructions were entertaining and funny as well. I enjoyed it and my 7 year old helped me put them together. Read the instructions and do it in the order provided or else the stool will be a little off.Sturdiness:These are light weight and can tip when children try to climb up the sides. This has only happened on my fearless 2 year old once as she is used to much heavier stools. However when it did tip on her, it is light enough that she wouldn't get seriously hurt. I appreciated that.Comfort:As previously stated, the stools are padded, they have a small back support that is just enough and the foot rest is in a good spot. Overall these are pretty comfy. After a couple hours though, I would prefer my couch.Service:When I first received the bar stools one of them had a ripped cushion. I e-mailed Nathan James with the contact info on the assembly packet. I sent them some pics of the torn seat and they immediately sent me a replacement set. I honestly was just expecting a new pad but the sent me brand new chairs. I also received follow up e-mails and every e-mail I sent had response times within the same day to make sure I was in the loop. First they reached out to me on the day they were shipped, another on the day that I was supposed to receive the delivery and a couple days later to follow up to see if the new stools were a good replacement and if I had any more concerns. I was so impressed that I bought 2 more stools. In addition, 2 weeks later I received a box of chocolates. I opened it up and it was an apology for the inconvenience! I have never had follow up like this in my entire life! It was absolutely mind blowing.Thank you Nathan James for a great product and a great experience.

I did not assemble the chair/stool. We opened the box, saw the "finish" on the chair leg, closed up the box and initiated a return two minutes later.The product picture does not show the pseudo grain detail. It makes it look like plastic that reminds me of outdoor patio furniture. Further, along the "grain", white color was applied to the raised portion of the grain. I suppose that is to intensify the fake grain, but it makes it look like the product is defective or really cheap.

I Purchased 4 stools ( two sets of 2) for my newly remodeled kitchen. The first set of stools my husband assembled were perfect, very sturdy and looked great. However the second set had cosmetic marks, small tear and on one of the stools the faux leather looked like it hadn’t been pushed in properly on the seat back.I emailed customer service and within an hour I had a reply from Cameron. Few more emails later (and photos) and I had a new set of stools being shipped to me.Amazing Customer Service! This is how it should be. I wouldn’t hesitate in buying any Nathan James furniture in the future, they were OUTSTANDING.

-First time I’ve tackled assembling furniture of any type. Decided best method to save low back strain or uncomfortable working position at floor level, was to use tablepad, or workbench for easier access.After reading instructions few times and examining the contents provided, the process can be handled easily by anyone able to read to follow diagrams instructions provided.. The illustrator of the instructions has written information to be lighthearted and encouraging (a good feature).-The metal frame of chair has been coated with type of grey metallic paint, and if accidentally scratched, the paint does scrape off. There are small areas along frame where the paint coverage wasn’t as heavily applied. Time will tell if the thinner paint will become issue.-I would suggest during the final step of adding the chair seat, best to work from a tabletop w/pad. The seat cushion itself needs to be pushed up closely to the ‘back of chair frame’...otherwise, there may be a noticeable gap from the seat cushion to the metal frame after the metal screws are installed. The illustrations doesn’t remark on this final ‘detail’ to help avoid the error. All in all was good outcome, seat comfort rating is GREAT compared to others I’ve tried, would definitely purchase again & recommend to others.
