Great story
Raven was saved in the maze as a child by the unknown, to her was Ajax the scarecrow, he's waited 10 years for her return and now she's back in his maze he will go to the extreme to have her. Well written dark horror, desires and more!

First Halloween read this year
I came for the scarecrow romance, stayed for the pumpkin children. THEY WERE SO ADORABLE I LOVE THEMMMMM. Every time one of them rolled somewhere I was like "awwww".There also wasn't much romance, but we did get an obsessed scarecrow and an illustration of him at the start. Mainly, he was going around the field, getting rid of anyone who was in the way between him and Raven, you know, normal things.I did like it overall and will be reading part two immediately. I do have to mention the writing though, which could be a little repetitive, some words were missing here and there and in a few chapters there was some PoV confusion, but it didn't take away from my enjoyment.

dark and 𩸠y
Dark daddy scarecrow. Very weird and gory. Gets a bit repetitive in places and kinda dragged out but overall a good read. No spice, this was more the build up I assume to book 2

(Minor spoiler alert!) Amazing plot, but in need of some major editing.
I received an arc for this book! The premise of this duet is fantastic. Who doesn't want a psychotic scarecrow chasing them through a cornfield? To start, I loved Ajex and his family of bloodthirsty pumpkin children. His character felt the strongest throughout the story with his dangerous charm and uncontrollable obsession with his 'little bird'. Raven as a character was interesting, but I felt like we could have learned a lot more about her. I wanted to know her deepest, darkest fears and catch a glimpse into the trauma revealed in the second part of the duet. The pacing was good, and I loved the twist with Raven's character near the end. That being said, the first part of this duet proved challenging to read. The plot drew me in, and I was eager to follow along with the chaos that ensued, but I kept tuning out because of the sentence structure and plot inconsistencies. It sometimes felt like I learned one thing, only for it to be contradicted with another a few pages later. The main and side characters felt a little underdeveloped in their speech, too.The second part felt more natural; it flowed better, and more aspects of the character's personalities were revealed, which I adored. That being said, I'm aware this book was co-written, and there will be a difference in writing styles. To conclude, I loved the story of Ajex and Raven. They're a match made in Hell, perfect for one another. All in all, the authors brought their vision to life, and with some fine-comb editing and some work with the character development, this would be a 5-star read for me!

LOVE IN A CORNFIELD
The one day of the year and the one location you donât expect to find love, Halloween and a cornfield filled with hungry pumpkins and a scarecrow king waiting for his queen. Ajax has been waiting ten years since first meeting Raven to show her a love only he can offer, Raven isnât wanting to face her fear of the cornfield but her boyfriend C.O.D.Y. insists. What develops is a Halloween adventure that gets the blood pumping and a scream fest not for the faint of heart. I really enjoyed this book, with witty, spooky characters and an ending that gives happy for now feelings.

*4.75 Stars*
This was an interesting read. I donât normally read things like this but the blurb caught my attention so I gave it a go.The concept of the book was very captivating. I actually had been picturing the Scarecrow more like Freddy Kruger until Raven described him as handsome and now I have a big beefy hunk pictured đ¤Ł.The pumpkins! I LOVED THE PUMPKINS!!! I wished they were real! They were described as menacing looking. You would think with the description of them eating it would be gross looking, but all I could picture was the pumpkins off the short Halloween cartoon âMonsters Vs. Aliensâ and wanted one of my own. There wasnât much romance aside from a few interupted moments and a few kisses. It was mainly about the Scarecrow claiming what was his and taking anyone down who got in his way with a little fun and games thrown in. It does get a bit repetitive with the Scarecrowâs actions, which can become a bit off putting since you donât want to keep reading the same thing; which is why I am giving this 4.75 stars instead of 5. Iâm excited to see how Part Two goes!
