Sounds most like AR-3a to me. I prefer the sound of dynamic driver IEMs to all others.
Sound is a personal subjective experience. In my journey, I started with the expensive brands (before chi-fi iems exploded) with all different types of drivers: BA, planar, electrostatic, and dynamic. Right now, I can buy several pairs of chi-fi sets for the price of one of the other brands. UE (before logitech buyout), Etymotic, SHURE, Klipsh, and Sony were the brands I tried. After that, I tried a brand called 1more.After over 3 dozen pairs, what I finally found out is that I prefer IEMs with only dynamic drivers. This one fits the bill. It sounds to me most like the speakers I listened to growing up - which were mostly AR while they were still AR in the 1970s. Again, music is very subjective and it seems like my preference has converged on IEMs with 2 or more dynamic drivers per ear and no other type of driver. The brands I tend to buy are CCA, Kbear, Revonext, and TRN. The TRN V90s were my goto pair until I saw these dynamic only multiple driver models. I bought every pair that was multiple dynamic drivers under a specific price point. This model was one of them. These sound most like speakers to me and all 2-3 dynamic driver models I've listened to fit the bill and I regularly use all of them. The difference is really in the shell construction and the presence of the dip switches for passive EQ.For gaming, I use very light ones with transparent plastic shells and no dip switches. If I want to monitor a vocal performance, I'll use this model or one like it.These sound most like the AR-3a that I listened to during my younger influential years and I suppose, my brain think that's the way things should sound. I still have the speakers, but they are heavy and huge and really difficult to drive - so they stay in the basement. For my home theater setup, I use the smaller speakers (dynamic woofer and dome tweeter) and a sub. But the AR-3a and these iems still sound better, except the ARs and the IEMs are only 2.0.

Great headphones and spatial audio
I am very pleased with these headphones. They have excellent sound quality and a comfortable fit, with impressive directional and spatial audio that is great for gaming. My only concern is the short length of the cable; fortunately, my computer is positioned nearby, so it's not a major inconvenience. However, if your setup involves a computer placed on the floor or far away, you may want to consider purchasing a longer cable or an extension. Overall, I would rate these headphones 4/5 and would purchase them again.

Impressive for the price
Ended up getting the Bass version and was fairly impressed with what I had received. I wasn't expecting much from what the price is but these are very nice sounding. The Castor's have a sleek look to them and they fit very nicely in the ears, I get no pain from them. They feel durable and made out of good materials, These are for sure the best entry level IEMs I have seen on Amazon. The mic isn't impressive but at least there is an option to have one or not.

Great Sound Quality for Price; Poor Construction
Firstly, the sound quality is very good for this price point. If you are expecting the same quality as high-end EIMs or even mid-tier studio monitor headphones, you will be disappointed, but they blow any other consumer-grade earbuds in this price range out of the water. They also look fantastic with a black chrome back that gives them a modern, clean look. That being said, there is a reason KZ has a reputation for poor QC. I have had mine for around 6 months and the left ear is already going out. There seems to be a loose connection between the cable and the earbud itself, so I'm not confident that replacing the cable would actually solve the issue. Even if it would, the price of a replacement cable is almost as much as a new set.I also noticed that the inside of the cable has turned green from what I assume is corrosion, because I don't recall them having that color when I purchased them. Although this doesn't seem related to the sound cutting out, it seems indicative of the same QC issues in my opinion. All in all, these are great headphones if you get a pair that works long-term, but it is a bit of a gamble.
