The unit works best on smooth surfaces. It does great with lifting Lego’s, Lincoln Logs, and moving toy barrels, etc around. The quality of the design and plastic are stout. This is a really neat toy. My daughter loves playing with it. Great movement, great response time to the controller. A great item for any kid that loves to play in dirt. Very fast delivery and all around a great product.

Even as an adult this thing is fun to play with. Having said that it is pretty cheaply made and wouldn't stand up to any rough play with kids. You get a skid-steer type control with two sticks forward to go forward and one forward/one back to turn for good maneuverability but it's very jerky with no option for slow movement. Some buttons on the controller are just plain fake and a little insulting they they're there at all. There are buttons for up/down but they pretty much do the same alternating effect. The forks are just a rotating mechanism that constantly move them up and down so you have to stop at the exact right time for them to be all the way down; a problem when "all the way" is just barely far enough to get under the pallet. that with the jerky movement makes this a bit of an adventure to move and not just knock things everywhere. Another annoyance is that the battery compartment has a screw which is a pain when trying to switch out the rechargeable battery packs. It looks fun, and is a bit, but there are enough downsides I wouldn't recommend it.

This is a toy that my son plays with almost daily ever since he got it! He adores it and he’s in this phase of construction vehicles, so this was a no-brainer for us at this price point also. If you’re looking for a gift or a toy that is similar to this one I think that this would be a great grab!
