The Florist: An absolutely addictive psychological thriller with a jaw-dropping twist

Suspense
Excellent story, suspense, and my wife is from England so she enjoyed the book even more. She has recommended the book to several friends

great until the last paragraph
Well developed characters and plot. The ending was abrupt and in my opinion ruined the book. It made no sense.

Takes a deep breath
It's well written, the world building is engaging, and the characters are mostly interesting. It just took too long to get to the point and then leaves so much open when it does finally get there.

Sins of the Past
The story begins with bodies on the floor and enough information to tease you on. This is an original psychological thriller, keeping you guessing as it unfolds, propelling you toward an unexpected twist.

Just OK
The British English always throws me for a loop. I hate having to look up words just because the author is from another country, but this book wasn't overwhelmed by "Britishisms". Just some. The killer came out of left field, which was delightful.

Unrelatable protagonist and unlikely occurrences
I’m one third of the way through and I can’t handle any more of this not “addictive” and not “thrilling” tale. The protagonist, a florist determined to elevate her business, engages in stalking and befriending the sister of a client who could make or break her, business-wise, even though she’s been told by the client that she is having issues with her sister. And we’re actually expected to believe that this stalker florist, who is not athletic or even a regular walker, makes it to the end of a ten-mile hike in great spirits with no fatigue. Too bad - it started off so well and I really wanted to like this book.

Don't waste your time!
I stopped reading this book a few chapters in, its just blahhh! As a florist of 33 years, I can tell you its total BS and that instantly put me OFF! The story was so slow and boring, and the writing is just horrible! Don't waste your time! No wonder its free! Can't imagine anyone paying to read garbage!

Sophmoric
Could be classified as a summer read if you can't find what you really would like to read. I likened it to watching a bad movie thinking it has to get better.

An unexpected surprise at the end.
I bought this book on the back of the most excellent read of “The Housemate” by the same author. Although in essence, this one has the same style of writing, it is nevertheless just as intriguing and thought provoking.

a very enjoyable read
Throroughly enjoyed this book, and read it in 24 hours. I thought the characters were well written, and the perpetrator came as a surprise for me (no spoilers) . Will recommend

A cracking mystery with flowers!
This is a good and gripping read which provides a fascinating insight into the work of florists. (I never realised how much is involved and the encyclopaedic knowledge of flowers they possess.) I enjoyed the novel and finished it in a day. The finale was rather far-fetched but I find that is often the case with this sort of narrative and it didn't detract very much from my overall enjoyment of the book. Would recommend.

A page turner
I read this (my first book by this author) very fast. It is well written and a page turner. I enjoyed it immensely and was caught completely by surprise at the denouement. The lead character was convincing as an outsider, she’s a socially awkward loner who isn’t easy to warm to, but that helps make the plot work so convincingly.
