Very pretty packaging. The smell makes you go ahhhhhhhh.

Having purchased "Paris, She Met Him In Secret" when the scent was being sold in Anthropologie - which is also where I bought the fragrance, I did not doubt that the scent of "Istanbul: She Listened..." would appeal to me. And it does, at that!However, I've never purchased fragrances as packaged by Fictions and others in similar fashion that were partially filled when bought at an Anthropologie. This one that arrived today via Amazon is depicted right after opening; the glass vial [without including the cap] is 3.5 inches in height and the fragrance measures at the 2.5 inch mark.It pains me to write this review - as a line as affordable and pure as fragrances go. I hope Fictions will do better from here on...

This small bottle costs a bit more than $20. When I received it, I noticed that the bottle is almost half empty. This means I paid $20 for .25 fl oz of perfume. I looked back at the comments for this product, and others complained about this similar problem. The perfume has a very strong pepper, incense, peach, and wood smell. As someone who's been to Istanbul twice, I'm not really sure what the connection of this perfume to the very complex smells of the city. I honestly hoped it would have more rose smell than it does. But, the scent is ok and is the only reason for the two stars I'm giving it.

It smells amazing, but the top half inch of the vial is empty. Because it's flammable, it's non returnable. But for $22, it should be full. Very unhappy.
