All I can say is PHEW!! I saw this product on a diff site and fell in love but it didn’t have the best reviews. Found it on amazon again with 50/50 reviews, either they loved it or they got one with bad paint or crooked doors. It seemed like most of the complaints were coming from people who ordered white (uneven paint, too distressed, etc) so I ordered brown and it is absolutely beautiful!! Doors line up, they slide so easily, it’s distressed but not sloppy or cheap looking. It’s light enough to hang easily but feels sturdy and durable. Looks like they’ve improved the hanging component as that was another complaint I read about. Yes the template is junk but I’m used to hanging without templates. The actual hanging mechanism is brilliant and allows for some error. I love that I can hide all my products with a quick slide of the door when company comes over! I’m 100% satisfied!!

Looks great works great. Do think it is a little expensive.

This is a beautiful cabinet as you can see in my photo. I absolutely love it! The first cabinet I received had a big chip off of the front of one of the shelves and was splintered on the inside of one of the doors and I emailed the company and they quickly shipped me out another one. Amazing customer service! However, the other one was even more damaged than the first. So I ended up keeping my original one and just patching it up the best I could. Thankfully it's a rustic looking shelves so you can't really even tell where I glued some of the chips of wood back on. I just wish I didn't pay so much for this item knowing that I would have to repair it myself, but other than that I am satisfied.

I was very excited about this cabinet, but also nervous, considering it was noted to have a high return rate. Now I understand why. This was a rather expensive cabinet at almost $230, with my 5% Amazon discount. Unfortunately, it arrived damaged. The outside of the box appeared fine. It wasn’t until we removed the packaging that we saw that it had been hit or dropped or something causing the damage on top. This should’ve never made it out of the warehouse and shipped to a customer, especially at this price point. Now I have to go through the trouble of repackaging and dragging this thing back to an Amazon Return location. It is very heavy and large and could’ve been completely avoided had they not shipped a damaged product. Very disappointing quality control!

This cabinet is adorable. It's also sturdy, seems high quality and didn't require an IKEA-esque assembly like 99% of the items you buy on Amazon. Two stars just for that alone! My wife is a huge fan of this brand in general, all items we have from them are good quality.Unfortunately I didn't actually unpack this cabinet until after I had moved in to a new place (ie, after 1.5 weeks after the return window had closed) and there are several scratches and chips on the top of the cabinet. Normally I would send it back, but I'm stuck with it now. I'm hopeful once I mount the cabinet you will not be able to see the damage on the top, but for this amount of money I would think you should be able to expect a non-damaged item.It would also be helpful if they included some installation guidelines. The brackets on the back are helpful, but I am not a handy person. The cabinet seems much too heavy to simply mount on drywall, but I am not confident on the type of anchor/wall material etc that this cabinet requires in order to be hung securely. My order did not come with any hardware or guidelines. For non handy people like me, it would be especially useless to have these. I've had to spend additional time and money searching Amazon for special anchors which can (hopefully!) support the weight of this. For a very expensive damaged cabinet, this extra effort makes our purchase all the more regretful. My wife and I's likely will be ending our brand loyalty to Kate and Laurel.

This is real wood and comes fully assembled!! The directions for hanging are clear and easy. Because it is a hook over system you install the brackets (they are already on cabinet) and simply leave cabinet on wall. No having to hold up the cabinet and drill through etc. I bought because I have limited storage so the hidden parts will hold hair products, deodorant, etc and the middle displays small pottery and candles. I always wanted to have barn doors but my house just does not fit that now I get to have my barn doors on a smaller scale and they are in a groove on the bottom so they’re not just loose hanging.

The wood is lightweight and roughly stained with a dubious quality stain and not-so-strong hardware, but at least it's metal hardware, not plastic, and it's not "engineered wood" and/or not MDF. I waterproofed it, and re-stained it, and reinforced it, and I hope it will last me a very long time. It's perfect for my space and application. So glad I found this charming little cabinet.

We like the rustic look but are disappointed in the quality for the price. The wood is very raw and rough. Not sure how it could ever get dusted or cleaned. The doors stick in the track and are hard to move. The barn door rail looks like it may have been an after thought because it causes the doors to stick. Sorry I couldn't give a good review, just giving my honest opinion.
