We love Bobby Bear.
My two year old daughter is very attached to him. We've found the open/shut eyes a really easy concept for her to understand when she has to stay in bed and when she is allowed to get up.She now knows not to wake up Mummy until his eyes are open and it works! It's a shame you can only set it for one wake-up time. You press the button to manually close his eyes (we do this out of sight ... but bless my daughter, she does get upset at Bobby's betrayal. Why would he tell her it's sleep time when she doesn't want to go to bed?!?!) and then he wakes automatically at the set time. Unfortunately, this means if you pressed it at 1pm for a nap he wouldn't wake until the set morning time so you have to creep in and open his eyes before they wake. Some people have complained about the loud ticking. We don't mind this, although the eye shutting sound is unnecessarily loud... especially when you are trying to be inconspicuous.A friendly, loveable bear face for learning about staying in bed and also for learning the time.

Had two. Both broke. Really poor quality.
Great idea - really poor quality product - don't buy! Our first Bobby was great for 7 months, and helped my little one stay in bed in the mornings. Until it broke. Eyes wouldn't shut any more. So we replaced it with another, as my little one was so attached to it. Which broke within 7 days. Different fault this time - issues with the electronics, digital display and not being able to set alarm. Further issues result from fact it was bought from a third party seller who have refused a refund, leaving us out of pocket. There are many alternatives out there and suggest you try one of those like we have, for a product aimed to integrate into children's routines it is a real shame the build quality is so poor.

Idea great and did work
The idea of this is fantastic and kept my grandson in bed until it alarmed. Seemed a bit cheap and plasticy and wonder if it will last. I found it very hard to set up although my so. Managed it. Will see how it goes.

Loud Ticking
Does exactly what it says it does, agree overall it feels very cheap, basically it's a digital and analog clock combined in the same unit. Ticks really loudly so we'll see if my child can tolerate it!

Very Cute Clock
Very cute little clock. Easy to use. Unfortunately, my son figured out how to open and close the eyes by holding the button and he didn't like the idea of that little bear telling him to stay or not stay in bed. It is very cute though. Depends on the child whether it will actually work for keeping them in bed.

Great for toddlers! Sleep Sam vs. Zazu Bobby
This is our second Zazu kids clock. We also had the Sleep Sam, which we loved. Our previous clock finally bit the dust after about a year of hard toddler wear and tear and we decided to try this model next so we could work on telling time. The only downfall is that this clock does not have any kind of nap setting. But it is much easier to put to "sleep" once you have it setup correctly you just hold down one button and the eyes close until the predetermined time (e.g. 7am). I would note that the digital part of this clock only uses European/military (24hr) time (e.g. 18:00 instead of 6pm) and there is no option to change this to the American standard 12hr clock.Overall: if you still have a napper; pay a little extra for Sleep Sam. If you have a slightly older child who is ready to start learning time then this is a great option.

Broken by toddler within 2 days.
Of this is for kids, it needs to be a little more durable.
