Bittersweet: Dating Disasters and Recipes for the Rebound Paperback – September 21, 2023

Came upon this, and got it as a gift for a friend who just had a break up. Thought it was cute and didn’t realize that this is a serious recipe book. Over lunch she explained that we were eating Stromboli’s from the books recipe… Now I’m completely sold!

I like the cover of the book. I liked how the book talked about dating stories that ends up leading into recipes. Not only that it leads to recipes, but the stories and recipes are tied together in such a clever way such as the Crepe story which made it funny. I have never read a cookbook so engaging, and entertaining. The way this book is put together is very unique which makes this book stands out from other cookbooks. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn new recipes while reading dating stories.

Not only did this book provide me with countless delish meals, I found myself laughing constantly. I have never before seen a cookbook that is a page-turner; hard to put down (the book, as well as my fork!).

This book is like enjoying a glass of wine with the best friend you wish you had. Warm, relatable, wildly entertaining AND delicious-- what more could you ask for!? Get 'em while they're hot (off the presses)!! :-)
