Recommend this alarm. It's nice and small and easy to install. Very loud aswell.

After purchasing new smoke alarms came across this as an add-on and never really thought about a heat alarm for the kitchen. Feels more secure knowing we have this in place. Sealed battery compartment with 10yr life cycle.

This comes neatly packaged in minimal recyclable packaging. It comes with all the fittings needed to attach it to the ceiling and a thick user manual in 6 different languages (English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch and Italian). It is not as big as the smoke alarms that I have (It is about 9cm in diameter), but I am happy that it is fairly non-intrusive. I got this for a kitchen rather than a smoke alarm, to avoid false alarms. For fitting there is a mounting plate, screws and rawl plugs and a very handy template that you can stick on the ceiling to work out where to drill holes. There is also something that looks like a double-sided sticky pad possibly as an alternative way of fixing, but this is not mentioned in the ‘Installation Steps’ section. The alarm is advertised as a ‘wireless integrated heat alarm’ so a lot of the instructions deal with how to interconnect them. I would not want to invest in a set of alarms before trying one out on its own, so I have only the one and have not tested the interconnection options. According to the instructions it is only compatible with other devices from the same company. I assume that the point of this is that if one alarm in the house is activated then all the alarms should go off. The device will however work fine as a stand-alone unit. The test, silent button seemed a bit non-intuitive to me, but although it does not look to me like a button, everyone else I showed it to was able to easily work out how to use it. It was easy to install. When I tested it, the volume was sufficiently loud. According to the box it conforms to BS 5446-2, which is good, and has a 10-year life. So far, no false alarms and no situations have arisen when I would have expected it to go off.

The media could not be loaded.  Unit looks good. After unpacking very easy instalation. From the moment you twist it on the mounting plate it's active. Test button working as it should (see video) alarm is laud enough and as the best part you can connect this alarm wireless with other ones in one cluster or use it as a solo one it's up to you. Definitely good item worth the money.
