I needed additional wood bar stools to supplement my previous set of Winsome bar stools I bought a long time ago at a different store. Found them here for a much better price! Amazon rox!These arrive fully assembled—6/5 stars for ‘easy to assemble category’The wood is solid, well constructed and handsome, esp in the natural color. I love the square legs in contrast to the round seat and round cross dowels. A detail that imo, separates this from other basic bar stools is that all the outer corners of the square legs have been smoothed with a router. Also, the seat edges have likewise been smoothed with a router. The legs are thick enough to support the chair without looking bulky. Very well designed chair. They feel and look just like my same bar stools from 25 yrs ago, which are still going strong now.This basic bar stool is well designed of good quality materials and solid construction. And at Amazons current special price of ~45.00, such an incredible value.(I am actually surprised to read the many negative reviews here for this item...but I will update my review just in case I have similar issues as those.)I would definitely buy again, in fact, bought another set.

This is a great quality, well built stool and it looks nice.My first order came and was missing half of the seat, it appears it broke off during construction and they boxed it despite the seat missing a whole quarter moon shape out of it and being nowhere to be found in the box.I have to take off a star for that. Someone saw it was broken and boxed it anyway.That aside, the replacements came and they are 100% perfect.I use them in my garage to rest on when im working briefly. I threw some cheap Klear Vu Omega Barstool Cushion, 2 Pack on them... fit perfectly, very cheap and good for light use (probably want something more padded for dinner table or something like that). Love the stools!

My kitchen bar does not have enough room for three full-sized barstools with backs, so I needed to fill in with a backless stool. I needed black to go along with my two previous barstools. I only needed one, but since these came only as a set of two, I'll just put the other one off to the side, and a fourth person can belly-up to the bar from the far end to talk to those seated at the bar. One of the stools wobbled from having one leg a bit shorter than the rest, but when I added felted pads to the legs, which I needed to do anyway to protect the hardwood floors, the wobbling stopped, so all is well. These are amazingly sturdy, and the price is unbelievably good. I would buy these again. I love that they came pre-assembled for no extra charge.

I am a contractor that enjoys woodworking projects. I had an idea for making custom bar stools. I wanted something different. So I decided I would use old metal tractor seats. I did not know that there is a market for old antique ones and so they can get real expensive. I searched around and found a source for new ones that are molded after antique ones. The next step was the wooden stools themselves. I thought of making them but then I found these at $24 a piece shipped I could not buy the material for that price and that does not include all of the shop time I was saving. I was not sure what I would get for that price but decided to give them a try. I just received them and am pleasantly surprised. They are well built and surdy. The tractor seats should be here tomorrow. Can't wait to put them together, paint and decal them. My plans are to use different themes such as pro and college teams. This set will probably be John Deere. May post pics later.

These chairs are surprisingly high quality for the money and came shipped preassembled, which was nice. They are sturdy and very aesthetically pleasing. They fit in very nicely with our new kitchen setup. My only complaint is that 1 of the 2 chairs doesn't sit quite flush and is wobbly compared to its counterpart, which sits perfectly. Its unfortunate because if not for that these would be perfect chairs at an amazing value for the price. They are very heavy duty and feel quite well made, especially when compared with things in a similar to higher price range from a place like Ikea. I would still highly recommend these to anyone looking for a cheap, simple, well made barstool, just be aware you may need to put some padding on the feet of the chairs to even the legs out so it sits properly on the floor.

I needed a tall sturdy plant stand that would keep my cat out of some large plants I have to bring in during the cold weather. Nothing under plant stand seemed to work, so I turned to bar stools. I found these, and ordered them yesterday. I got them this morning and was thrilled to find they were already assembled. I put some felt pads on the bottom of the legs and put a plant on one of them. It looks great. I have to wait til my husband gets home tonight to help me lift the heavier plant. So, I have no idea how long they will last, but they appear sturdy and the color works as expected.

Honestly, the price convinced me to try these. When I opened their box, I smiled and laughed. The two sets of two barstools were in extraordinary condition and stained a beautiful standard black that matched my dining room chairs. They are sturdy, level, and a great height for my standard bar counter. I still can't believe the price. I read the reviews that they were packaged without padding and while that is true, the method of packing and placement in the box seems to prevent damage. I prepared myself just in case anything that was written in the one-star reviews of these Winsome 29" square Leg Bar Stools happened to me; I was going to give them to an artist friend of mine to be reclaimed. Sorry artist friends, I'm keeping them!

The stools are shipped already assembled, making the box pretty large, especially for a smaller person to carry. The stool itself seemed sturdy, however, the leg lengths do not seem to be leveled in both stools. It rocks a little one more than the other. Overall, good for the price, but I wish it had leveling mechanisms like one of those foot adjuster screws.

The barstools arrived assembled and in perfect condition. They are well made, with sturdy, well reinforced legs. The stools sit squarely on the floor - no wobble.I recommend this product.

Great product for the price, and its great that it came assembled. The seat is hard, but that can be solved by purchasing cushions if needed.

Bought 6 of these stools when they were on sale. $75 for a 2 pack was a great purchase! they are sturdy and have a larger than normal seat pad which makes it more comfortable. They have been in heavy use for about 4 weeks now and are still holding up perfectly.
