Not natural rattan at all - plastic
The price should have tipped me off, and I should have read the tiny print which says high quality PE, which I now know is polyethylene (plastic). The description in big letters says "Natural Rattan Cane Webbing"; how foolish of me to expect natural rattan! I will not deny it looks like (unnaturally regular) rattan from a distance, but if you are expecting to work with real rattan for a precious project (as in soak overnight, stretch over area of furniture, let it dry), this is not what you should buy.Two stars instead of one because I negotiated a 60% refund, which made the purchase palatable.
