AMBERAGENatural Baltic Amber Necklace for Adults

I am not a yellow or orange or amber person. Never have chosen those colors for anything. Recently had surgery and was reading about crystals and healing. Came across amber. Read it assuaged pain and inflammation. I believe it has but that’s another review. This is one of the most beautiful necklaces I have ever held. Whether it is true amber, I believe it is, I can’t guarantee. It feels old and rich and wise. I wear it constantly and can’t keep my fingers off of it. I bought the larger size which is perfect for me. I also purchased a bracelet and ring. They don’t match cut wise exactly but color-wise they do. I will keep my eyes open looking for a matching bracelet and ring. Today I got lucky and found the exact matching earrings here at Amazon. They now sit in my cart waiting for me to buy…and I will. If this necklace calls to you, answer. You won’t be sorry.

First of all, this is a gorgeous necklace. It would be appropriate for either a man or a woman. I appreciate that they offered it in the larger size as I need the extra inches. I have short hair, and I find it completely comfortable. Other reviewers have commented on how the edges dig into their skin, but I haven't had that problem.However, I join some reviewers in questioning whether this is natural amber. It feels like plastic to me when I pick it up. At 1st I thought it was highly polished, but I can't see any of the natural occlusions found in genuine amber. Several tests are available to determine if it's natural amber, such as soaking it in saltwater to see if it floats, but I haven't wanted to do that as it will degrade the necklace string.I would also like to say the clasp is extremely cheap (plastic screw-on) and not what I would expect at this price point. I am concerned it will not wear well, and I will either have to discard the necklace or pay a jeweler to replace it.Despite all these concerns, I feel it looks like amber around my neck, and it truly is one of the most attractive necklaces I've ever seen or owned. It's just that if it is plastic, it's grossly overpriced. Also, if it's not natural amber, I will not get the subtle pain and anxiety benefits of amber against the skin (my primary reason for ordering). However, I'm not an expert, so I can't give a definitive answer as to genuineness.

It floats ..it’s real. I’m a man and love the way this looks layered with gold. I’m also a hippie without hair and I feel calming anti anxiety effect when I wear this.

Gave this as a gift to my sis in-law. She loved it! But the soft plastic "clasp" broke after one month of wear.

I broke all my front teeth in half during a grand mal siezure 7yrs ago. They rebuilt my teeth, I broke in half all 8front teeth. Started wearing a plain necklace on my wrist or ankle. My dental specialist said she used them for her kids. So I got one to try. It helped. But finally broke. I got 2 for Christmas plain one for ankle & this beautiful one for my neck.
